  1. Blimey you really didnt like it did you? Love the way you call it Constanteen Keanustantine etc - hilarious...

Anyways I wont soil this section with further talk of said movie. If I wasnt such a lazy bastard I'd have realised there was a section for discussing the film...*must explore forum more thoroughly*.

  2. I *coughs in embarrassment* quite liked Keanu in the film (I think I have a 'men smoking' fetish) but once I found out about the original JC it really niggled me why they would choose someone so different visually. Someone more like, I dunno, Christopher Walken (?) or someone equally striking and wasted looking would have done a better job...Mind you plonking a blonde wig on Keanu and getting him to do an English accent would have been cringingly hilarious.

I know the movie is probably considered lowest of the low here (LOL!) but I wondered what you thought.

Sorry cant muster the mental energy to discuss anything deeper than this at the moment!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  3. So far (and I'm half way through my first novel..LOL) HB appeals to my twisted imagination like nothing else I have ever encountered. If it doesnt sound too dramatic - I feel I've been searching for something like this for years but everything (whether it's been films or books) has fallen short in the 'twisted' dept. With the possible exception of American Psycho.

I like John even though he's not cuddly or cute on any level. Well probably BECAUSE he's not cuddly on any level. He tells it how it is and his jaded 'ennui' attitude speaks volumes about how many people feel about life - and makes him so attractive as a character. Ladies, do you agree - or is it only me?

I like the fact that despite all his dubious habits and attitudes he still does the right thing.

I've NEVER read a graphic novel before (the format has put me off - mis-perception that it's a 'boys' thing?) but I cant put 'Haunted' down! heh heh..

  4. Well that's comforting to know! I am aware I have got a hell of a lot of catching up to do before I can discuss HB with any great authority but I'm looking forward to all that reading. I actually - ahem - enjoyed the movie on some levels and if it hooked me (and others) in enough to create another HB fan then so much the better.

  5. Kinki, it's a UK - European package we're plotting here, so they can all be sent to one address and then out from here. But if you're in the US, there's probably room for manoeuvre. Let us know where you are (country/town should do!) and keep an eye on this thread.

    And welcome.

Yep I'm UK based/Preston Lancashire to be exact!

Thanks Adrian - Will keep one eye on the thread...

  6. Well hopefully I'm still in time to place an order - fingers crossed!

    If possible I would like...

    Proof requested: Hellblazer #'s 162, 163, 175, 182, 184.

Total: $100 (5 for the price of 4?)

    Personalized? No.

    Signed? yes please.

    Thanks!!

  7. Hi all...

I've been directed to this section to talk about myself and make myself look interesting so here goes!! LOL.

I'm a 39 year old illustrator who should know better than be into anything dark/moody/brooding/depressing/enigmatic/mysterious at my age. I've been told it's the domain of 14 year olds but there you go.

Music-wise I like anything from Marilyn Manson/Rammstein and other noisy stuff to Mozart and William Orbit. I like playing first person shooters til ungodly hours in the morning and spend large amounts of time in my own little world(s), something which I also probably should have grown out of at the age of 14!!

    I like Bladerunner/Matrix-type films - anything dirty-looking/mechanical/cyber-y/futuristic/dark. You can keep chick-flicks!

On the upside I like keeping as fit as possible - to delay the inevitable slide south of various parts of my body!!

Oh, and I have, and can't help having, an unhealthy interest in charismatic/brooding/cynical/loner anti-hero characters!! Heh heh..

Oh, and Avaunt, I'm not an Aussie, I'm a Pommie!!

Well that all sounds suitably pretentious - thing is it's all true! 8-)

  8. Hello! I'm getting the feeling I'm in a minority here - so be gentle! I'm new to the Hellblazer thing having recently seen the movie version (waits for the laughter to die down LOL!) and been looking around for more info on the original books etc. Just started reading 'Haunted' - really enjoying it so far - love the darkness of it. Really appeals to my cynical nature...

Anyhow - I have a question. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy prints of Tim Bradstreet's Hellblazer art? It's just amazing.

OK...I've just noticed Tim's post about proofs of his work...sorry guys!! D'uh!
