Well, it was only a matter of time.......
-
I have been one-upped.......
-
Official Survivor
Congratulations! You scored 82%!
Whether through ferocity or quickness, you made it out. You made the right choice most of the time, but you probably screwed up somewhere. Nobody's perfect, at least you're alive.
My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 59% on survivalpoints

Mountains where? Cali? Montana? Nepal?
-
But if we didn't grow facial hair how could we offer lovely young ladies such as yourself free mustache rides?
-
Where are you located wolvy? For some reason I always assumed it was Sacramento.......
-
Scary to think what would happen if I achieved Wolvy-mind!

You should all read "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time." It describes a function autistic kid's life pretty well, and provides insight for those that don't know about autism. I know a couple of autistic people and the book reminded me of them quite a bit.

It rained here all day yesterday. People practically lost their freaking minds.
"Oh my God! Wet stuff falling from the sky! How will I navigate my car through such dampness?!"
-
That is pretty sweet.
John Byrne, where have you gone?
-
You know, it's weird, but last night in one of my dreams I had an epiphany and learned the significance/meaning behind the use of "pooka" as your screen name.
Seriously, I'm not trying to make a stupid joke here or anything.
Strange.

Just finished Invisible Kingdom........ and my brain is still warped. Probably the best comic series I've ever read (granted, I haven't read nearly as many as most of you lot).
I knew The Invisibles would end this way, yet it still blew my mind.

Any animated incarnation of the Joker that is not voiced by Mark Hamil isn't worth the cells it's drawn on.
It's not a horrible series, but it is unnecessary as much of the "Batman: Year One" stuff was covered in the original animated series a few years prior.
It only got launched to coincide with the movie, I doubt it will last another year or 2.

Well there are riots for almost every team that wins..... It's worse in other parts of the country, like the Midwest. Detroit goes apeshit when they win (Red Wings or Pistons, the Tigers and Lions don't know the meaning of the word "win"), Chicago can get pretty crazy, etc.
I went to the Raiders-Chargers game a few years ago (the year the Raiders went to the Superbowl) in SD (I was living there at the time). I swear the attendance was 70--30 Raiders to Chargers fans. Saw a few brawls and the dude who got knifed was near my section.
But you're right, the Raiders are a whole 'nother animal.
And you brought up an interesting point, rioting in American sports is basically reserved for victory celebrations. So there's not much hooliganism at any of our sporting events.
What a way to celebrate, eh? "We won! Let's burn our city to the ground!"

I'm actually warming up to the cover, btw...
Yeah, I set my copy on fire too......

Don't know if this thread exists somewhere else (didn't see anything in the 14 pages of this neck of the woods) but has anyone read Lady Constantine or is planning on getting the TPB when it drops next week?
Worth reading or is it utter shite?
-
I love all the shouting in the background.
"Aaaahhhhh!! Dooooohhhhh!! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!"
-
Nahh, hooliganism is on a steady decline in the States. There's too much security everywhere and with all the cameras and tech, well, Big Brother is Watching.
I used to go to Raider games when I was a kid (and when they were based in L.A.). Let me tell you, not a safe place to go. The stadium (The Coliseum) is located in downtown L.A. near South Central L.A...... The South Central.
I had to be careful what colors I wore.
I witnessed a couple of fights before, usually a Raider fan stabbing a fan of the visiting team. But that's all pretty rare now.

It's an option any of us have.
At any time you can choose (in your "my controls") to not allow others to know that you're online. Something along the lines of "Show others your online status?" or "Log into the forum anonymously?"

If he likes Dick, that's a bonus in my book...
According to Hollywood rumors he does......
-
So, when does your week off start?
-
Sly, don't, just don't.
-
Without a doubt. The last WC was on the opposite side of the world as us, so all the games started around 10pm West Coast time.
But this time around I have a DVR, so I ain't missing a thing! I'm going to watch every match Brazil, the Netherlands, England, Portugal and the US (obviously) play in.

Incs: Definitely get a pic through a dummy email account. Then post it here for all to see.
Oh crap.

Well Ex Machina only has 18 issues so far (I think) and Y:TLM is the kind of title you can pick up and get the gist of what's going on pretty easily (especially at this time when the title's going through a "rest period").
But I'm sure Mark could think up something for you based on your taste. You should PM him.
