Agreed, Josh. I would also say that Castro doesn't deserve such a high ranking. For sure Cuba is undemocratic, but compared to the rest of that list, Castro is a wuss.
And Cuba's the only place on that list that I would actually visit.

Well, there's quite a bit of Americans playing in Europe right now. In fact, I think our international roster has 13 players that are playing in Europe, 8 in the MLS, and the rest are TBA.
Yeah, the interest has started over here. I also live in L.A., so there's a pretty big contingent of soccer fans out here due to the large hispanic population not to mention all the Europeans, South Americans, Russians, etc.
The World Cup gets a lot of love in America. It's easier to follow, has plenty of media coverage, our national team keeps improving, and it's essentially one big all-star tournament which plays well to the American principle of only "having the best."

Saw the Ultimate Avengers animated movie. Piece of crap. It's thouroughly boring until the Hulk shows up and kicks everyone's ass.
The only animated comic-based show that is even remotely watchable is JLU.
Also watched Stander and Two for the Money. Both pretty good. Stander was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Finally, a movie starring Thomas Jayne that doesn't suck!

I was just viewing the "Who's Online and What It Is They're Doing" Index (aka the Last Click) and googlebot was "viewing the help files." What the fuck??
Something is seriously wrong here.
Not really - their indexing spiders just follow all the links they can find. But to the web server, it just looks like another user - so if it follows a link to the help files, the web server sees it as "viewing the help files". I did wonder if the "printing a topic" one might have been something to do with their push to get pdfs of just about anything and everything, but it's just as likely it was the same link-following dealio.
Of course, I may be wrong. Googlebot may be hiding behind my wheelie bin waiting to pounce and assimilate me when I go out for a fag.
That answer's a little to rational for me.
I prefer good ole paranoia: Googlebot is real, and he needs real help.

I detested his ludicrous performance as Satan but I do love the guy elsewhere. He was fucking brilliant in Fargo and The Big Lebowski. And very good in Minority Report too, yeah.
Hags: I thought that was what you were arguing over.... :-?
-
Made me feel like I was standing in line for Space Mountain.
-
Abhi: That was its purpose.
Not really.
The viewer is supposed to detest the character, not the performance by the actor.

User Comments: The Worst Swedish Movie Ever
That had me cracking up.

I understand Alan Moore once recorded a version of it with his band, whose name escapes me - anyone ever heard it?
The Sinister Ducks.
He also performs with Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels who have put out a couple of cds of their performances.

"It says "I choo-choo-choose you" and it has a picture of a train!"
"Oh boy, sleep, that's where I'm a Viking!"

Yes, but there are often other reasons. Mandatory uniforms help eliminate gang-related problems from wearing certain colors or styles of dress, they help keep young women from dressing too provacatively and having that lead to distractions in the classroom or worse, some kind of sexual assault.
That sounds a little too much like the logic of the reactionary, old-style cop or judge claiming that the female rape victim "asked for it" by the way she was dressed.
It sounds like it, but it's fairly true. Trust me, I've seen some shit in my day..... The problem is the assholes who use the way others dress as an excuse to assault them, but by eliminating such dress you eliminate the excuses. Not the greatest rationale, but it worked. Besides, this isn't a "slippery slope" fallacy I'm arguing in favor of.

Well, once the recover from the jetlag and depositing of their nails in these annoying men, they'd be rather happy to see what the Phillipines have to offer.

At first I thought you were talking about "Actor Don Knotts dies at age 81."

mmm, idont know abouta new episode of the simpsons being much funnier than anithing else on tv...well,at least not in my cable, i rather see family guy or scrubs than a new simpsons episode.
I hope they stay on just in spite of Family Guy. Why derivative slop like that gets uncancelled and something like Futurama gets the boot is like kicking the viewing audience in the stomach and then spitting on their grandmother.
Mojo is right on the money with that and this "though for my money, seasons 4-8 cannot be touched. Quit possibly the finest 4 years of comedic television in the history of the planet."
I could not possibly agree more, or else the universe would implode.

Watching Everton vs. Newcastle right now. Emre is playing out of his mind. I can't believe Solano didn't bury one in the back of the net at the end of the first half.
Good game all around thus far.
Edit: Solano just redeemed himself. Newc. is keeping the pressure on so it looks like all you Everton boys've got a night of swedgin' ahead of you.
Edit#2: Solano just scored on one of the prettiest goals I've seen in a long time.
Good night Everton.

Oh, and Pooks, how could I forget you?
Hearing that kind of stuff is always the best reward. Congrats.

I don't know, they've had some redeeming episodes these last 2 seasons. And a C-grade Simpsons is still better than the best episode of "The Bachelor."

Goddamnit! I knew, I knew, I shouldn't have clicked on that.......

Well, in the comics, that was always my favorite outfit of his. And I'd definitely prefer to see it in the movie as well, but would be forgiving if they didn't.
-
But Googlebot made me do it. :D
That would be a kickin' t-shirt, to go along with "You Just Got Man Thing'd."

Could someone post one iconic pic from every HB illustrator who worked on HB from the beginning till now?
Mark- Why dont you like Manco so much?
(Because hes my favorite of interior artists, though i didnt see everyone, thats why i ask for a JC pic of every artist, if that might be possible from someone)
I bet if you search that one thread ('favorite JC line' or something) you'd find a pretty good sampling of the various artists' work.

Abhi: It's pretty good. Worth seeing? I'm not sure. What was worth seeing was the brief interview (in the extras) with the guy who the story was based on. He was something else! A documentary on him would be amazing.
The film was entertaining, had some weak moments and struggled with pacing in the third act. Pacino and McConaghey were really good.
FG: Well, I meant of current stuff. But yes, Batman, Superman, and even the 90's X-Men and Spider-Man series were good.
JLU trumps all.
