It makes more sense to have the venom suit just be a darkened version of Spidey's regular digs.

In the comics, Spidey didn't have many changes for decades until the venom get-up, so changing it completely was ok. Especially for a built-in, long-standing audience.

For the movie, the filmmakers kind of have to keep it simple, and that's understandable. Just so long as the "Iron" Spidey suit never makes it to the big screen, I have no costume complaints.

Anyone hear about the upcoming movie EVILSEEK ? Tom Jayne is a cop who kills himself after failing to cathc a serial killer . Satn then takes possession of the cops body and is compelled to hunt the seril killer himself . Sounds cool as hell .

I can't wait for Aronofsky's "The Fountain." I leafed through the hardback GN of it that just came out and it was pretty stellar (though almost $40.00).

I think that attitude persists in America because the French are seen as snobbish. I believe German is actually more common than English as a second language over there as well, but don't quote me on that. If this is true (and many Americans I know believe it to be) I can see how this would ire many ignorant Americans.

However, in my own personal experience, I found French people to be amongst the friendliest, liberal, and open-minded people I met in any country (and I've been to quite a few).

Yes, but there are often other reasons. Mandatory uniforms help eliminate gang-related problems from wearing certain colors or styles of dress, they help keep young women from dressing too provacatively and having that lead to distractions in the classroom or worse, some kind of sexual assault. Uniforms also help the students concentrate on their work and help eliminate/reduce heirarchies that result in low self-esteem and so forth.

I'm not necessarily in favor of uniforms, but I understand that there are often other reasons than just plain 'hive-mind mentality.'

At my public high school we had a dress code that included a no-hat rule because kids were getting jumped all the time for gang-related crap. There also used to be kids who walked around barefoot which led to a number of injuries. Sounds silly, but it was true.

I have another question for the Americans.

 

Why don't your school kids wear a uniform?

Some do, just depends on the type of school. Private or Public? Religious or not? Same sex or coed?

Private, religious, and same sex schools tend to have uniforms.

Will do. I know Heralds comes first, but the rest was just a guess. Countless google searches have proven fruitless. Heralds is first because it's considered a precursor to Paradise X, a sort of bridge between Uni. X and Para. X.

The LMD story was Earth X #1/2 right?

Yeah, I was thinking of looking for the publishing dates on the inside, but Marvel often releases #0 or #-1 well after the fact, yet it should be read before the others.

It's hinted at that Vic might let her get found out and killed, thus getting Lem off the hook.

Kavanaugh is present however, so I doubt that actually happens.

Anyway, seems an intriguing thing to put them both into at this juncture.

In my tour of Europe a couple summers past, I didn't get the chance to make it up to the UK, but I did travel through Germany quite extensively.

I had a few Irish Carbombs (is that name insensitive?) the other night. Got me extra-drunk.

I prefer any beer brewed by The Mendocino Brewing Co. Their stuff is far superior to any other American brewing co.

I love their Red Tail Ale. It's dark, rich, and has just the right amount of sweetness to it.

I'm also partial to Newcastle Brown Ale and Black & Tans.

I absolutely hate lagers and hefeweisens (wheat beers).

I prefer the tast of a nice dark or red ale. Anything lighter is too watery for me.

This series is getting better and better at the rate that Lost is getting worse.

I have them all in single issue format, but haven't started to read them 'cause I can't figure out the read order.
