  1. How big do they scan? I use Tinypic.com (as suggested by CharlieK in Show Your Face Again) and they're able to host large images.

A shading effect with ink? Sounds interesting. Sounds risky too. I'm interested to know how you do it.

  2. Maraming salamat!

Gen, did I get that right? In Hawaii it's Mahalo.

    You're a good friend.

    Here goes...

Friday. No sleep. Barely enough time to run home and shower and return to the job. Nervous as hell. Finished my very last analysis of the Hawaii water system and compiled a very good (if I do say so myself) presentation to deliver to the heads just in time. Did it…barely remember anything that I said as usual. I hate presenting. I think they make me do it so they don’t have to do it themselves just like hydraulic modeling. I shouldn’t even be heading this division. Nothing wrong with the design but a few high pressure points in Waialua. Nods and handshakes from everyone and well wishes and goodbyes. Sometimes I wonder whether the stress of this job is worth it. All this work, no sleep coupled with heavy calculations…I practically have to speak in calculus.

But it's all over now. On to better things.

  3. Or you could pick one up by it's feet and swing it around like Sauron, knocking groups of them into the air with each swing.

This whole thread is quite funny. And for laughing at it I should go straight to hell.

Oh wait...I'm already here. Guess it's okay then.

  4. Wish I had a microphone. I'd love to join the party...maybe sing a little tune, recite a limerick. For now I'll be hearing your voices in my head when I read your posts. Just what I need...voices in my head.

    Nice hearing you all.

  5. Gen - It's over and done. What a day what a day! I shall elaborate later. And a meeting with friend Trace is not promised. But yes, a good thing.

Trace - Hahaha!...an option I hadn't considered. And I'm supposed to be smart. But now, it is the time for smiley_abzv.gif and jump1.gif.

    But for now...dodo6.gif

Night all. If you need me, which I'm certain you won't, I shall be happily unconscious for what I hope to be the next 24 hours.

Enjoy your weekend. I intend to enjoy mine.

    After a bit of rest.

    *collapses into unconsciousness*

  6. I also have a question concerning Deviantart websites. Like...what is it exactly? How do you get one? What are the benefits of having one? I'll investigate further at another time...when I'm more awake. But if you know anything...please...

  7. Gen - I'll be doing something similar in Nevada...but also keeping an eye out for other opportunities  I'm not sure if I mentioned it.

Ren - Translation at Vienna? Now I'M intrigued. I do like my job by the way. However, stress can build up. Like right now that I've been awake for about 30 hours doing engineering work. But I like that I push myself and that things don't get stale. It's just not terribly creative. I didn't anticipate how important that was to me. Pay is good but cost of living here is high. It was a high aptitude for mathematics and science that got me into this line of work.

  8. That's beautiful. I like. Very much. Looks like a man of war to me…but also much more. The urgency is there and it’s not just a beautiful picture. I’m curious as to the medium. The color quality looks like an oil paint but the fine lines tell me pencil or one of those hard oil paints that come in sticks (don’t know the name). The pattern they’re in are also more indicative of pencil strokes than brush strokes…to me at least. I’m no painter though.

    What is a z-brush exactly?

I like the style...makes it more interesting than just a straight painted work. He can obviously draw quite well…an advanced talent.

Your cousin got anymore, Trace? I'd love to see more.

And I hope he returns safe. Not an empty courtesy for me to say that. I have cousins in Iraq. 1 has returned. 2 just deployed 2 months ago.

  9. Gen - I'm still at work. Brought my computer in again. It's after 11pm. My coworker just went out for coffee. From the looks of things I might not go home tonight. Maybe time to go home and shower and return.

Looks as though I'm going to crawl past the finishline.

Thanks for chearing me on. ;)

  10. Is the entire piece in ink? I see some shading and wonder if you can accomplish that effect with a pen. You know how interested I am in inking.

Any possibility of a larger pic of your pics? Maybe in a link?
