  1. For you maybe, but that's because you don't have wires connecting from the computer to your testicles, giving you shocks everytime you load another page. OW!

    ...

    OW!

    :)

Back on subject: I don't get the criticism about a plot. Nary a trailer I've seen in the last few years has any pretense at a plot. They're all about showing cool clips from the movie.

Then you should not only go to action flicks! No really, in most trailers they give a vague idea of the plot like the day of tomorrow (yes, they also show cool clips. je sais) they begin to tell what's happening and all. In this trailer , the tagline is that hell wants him and heaven won't take him but they don't say that john is dying which is kind of important I think because that shows that time is running and that john has to figure out something before he dies (and in this trailer people don't know that that's soon so it might appear less exciting) Also if they so badly want to show creepy clips, I think a creepy music in the middle would have been appropriate. Now it's such an ::empty:: trailer.

Or is it just me?

  2. Aw...I'm kind of dissapointed with the trailer  It doesn't show a story really. It's just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. And that scene with Rachel in bath seems wierd to me. Suddenly a bath explodes.....For those who read the script: how is it in context? Better?

There are a few scenes where you see Constantine sitting on the floor (with those feets coming in the screen)/ in a house (after Heaven won't take him) but not his. I wonder where that is....Anyone knows?

    keanu says Whoa though :)

  3. Agreed. Cute picture though. That may certainly be my dream.

But then, it's just an interview. The JC mugshot on Club Keanu looks really good I think. Really Hellblazerish and more rough. Those pics make me all positive again. I think the facial expressions of Ke are really like John Constantine's in most of them....And hell looks so great!

  4. I also like that pic of Angela in church, but then I always did like that scene ...

Ade, thanks for that link. Yesterday I've been trying to find out at which church that scene was filmed, because I really love the kitschy interior.

How cool, it's open to the public as well. If I ever make it to LA, it's definitely on my must-see list. (Not that I'm a Catholic, I just love beautiful places of worship...)

Then instead visit Rome. Has the greatest Catholic churches ever and they have millions. And it's closer to holland.

  5. Though I wanted Balthazar to wear that silly suit he was wearing in Dangerous Habits

Sounds like you're thinking of Harry Constantine from Fear & Loathing.

Hmz no. I meant the guy that came to send Brendan to hell in Dangerous Habits. I've always thought he was going to be played by Gwen Stefani's hubby. But that character is still in the box, I guess.

  6. Yaaay! I love them. Though I wanted Balthazar to wear that silly suit he was wearing in Dangerous Habits (that Spanish one) This is terrible, he looks like a drugsdealer.

The mugshot Rachel has on her PC looks fine though. Keanu's facial expression on the right one reminded me of JC. That's at least something

Some of these pics are set pix right? If not, I don't know what they're about.

  7. Awww, please don't get me started on Lord of the fucking Rings. I HATE that film! I hate it, hate it , hate it!! :icon_evil:

The only pro's on that were Liv Tyler and Viggo Mortensen, oh and that superscary spider in part 3, but that's it! And that's 1 pro per film!

    Fjoew, dat lucht op.

Wait a minute, someone here hates the adaptation of LOTR?????

    (...)

Not that there's anything wrong with that opinion but it just shows you how tough it is for any writer/filmmaker/studio venturing into adapting successful books.

I'm not sure if Shanice has read the books at all, Tears. I think she may just not like the films.

At the old forum there was an big LOTR thread, and that showed clearly that most regulars at the forum have read the books, and love the LOTR adaptation by Peter Jackson.

No I haven't read the books indeed, so it doesn't prove the point that it's SO HARD to make a ::decent:: adaptation. I just hated the film for Elijah Wood, the Oscars, the length of the last film, the weak main character and that it was so overrated. I must admit that there were good points too and Peter Jackson is cute (as an uncle, not as in: sexy  )

And Red, it's from Louis Royo's painting "Alone." I've had avatars from Louis Royo before , you should Google him. Some things are beautiful! But don't say something IS something. Not possibe. Opinions, okay.

  8. hehe, YES WE CAN  . But it's quite pointless here...But yes in Dracula he sucked, as well as everyone in that film.

But what's his excuse for Much Ado About Nothing?

yeah what's with that? I saw the film once when I wasn't a Keanufan, and I never thought it was bad or anything. I still don't see it.

And yeah, of course, there's Johnny Mnemonic...but everybody makes mistakes along the way.

He was great in Something's Gotta Give, the Gift, River's Edge, My own Private Idaho and more. But now I'm again discussing Keanu...I just can't help myself

  9. I think the Catwoman reference was referring to the decision to transform Selina Kyle into a completely new (and thoroughly less interesting) character.

That and the fact that Keanu can't really act outside of a very limited range and thus is incapable of doing anything other than a surfer dude's accent (sorry Krix et all!).

I'm sure even they couldn't argue with that one. Remember Dracula?

hehe, YES WE CAN  . But it's quite pointless here...But yes in Dracula he sucked, as well as everyone in that film. Can someone tell me when there'll be a real trailer online?

Anyway Maddi, agree with you (except what you mentioned about recent events in Holland, you mean Theo van Gogh and effects?) But I 'm quite surprised people you knew didn't like the comic. My little sister (she's 12) even reads them (even though they're English) and she really loves them and starts to talk a little Brittish :) However, I do think my friends won't get/ like the comics too. Maybe it takes something in someone to like it?

    Now, what would that be?

  10. Dear God, Shanice, I hope he dosn't look exactly like that.

Yah, he does!! It's really the sweetest boy. But he looks like that cos' he has down syndrome.

By the way, my little sister is the newest Hellblazer fan! She loves the comics, she reads them over and over. When I told her that the girl from "Vanilla Sky" would play Gabriel, her answer was "But I thought it was a man!"

  11. Those [over-used word]S! Plagiarizing art is a serious faux pas! I could sic a hacker friend of mine on them, if you'd like. By the time he got through with them, every post would be encrypted and every jpeg turned into the dancing baby...

Haha, if necessary I sent my own people too, let´s have a war  Your avatar looks exactly like Floris, a boy I know btw. What/who is it?
