I always thought it would be nice if it spun off into a tv series closer to the source material. I've always thought Hellblazer would work better for TV.

My friend and I have started delving into buy comics online lately. As a result we've both been going through our collections figuring out what's missing and what we consider important enough to scour the earth for. So, what are some issues that it just kills you that you're missing?

I for one am enjoying this storyline.

EDIT: Oh, and it's still very much up in the air whether or not John's 'demon blood' is in fact Nergal's. Given that he lost it by magic, rather than having it physically drained from his body, it's quite feasible to assume that when he symbolically 'retainted' himself by screwing Ellie, he regained that aspect of his former self in a more literal way than some of us have been assuming. Do I get a no-prize? ;)

That was always the impression I got when Mike was first explaining the whole "John still having the demon blood" issue after "High on Life Part 2"

I wonder if there isn't some sort of gentlemen's agreement between Hellblazer wriers not to kill off another writer's major creations.  Kit, Dani, Zed, Marj, Mercury, Rich the Punk were all major players whom each writer probably enjoyed writing more than they liked to write Constantine.

I'm kind of stumped as to who the friend is. Who has known John longer than Chas? I don't think its Gary Lester, the character seems to be too well spoken. It sure as hell can't be Ghant after this short period of time.

Yeah, and the artist of that issue was pretty good too. Ronald Wimberly I believe his name was. Never heard of him before. Anyone know what else he's done?
