I missed it too, and I often browse the Guardian.

Legendary Target cover artist Chris Achilleos died recently.
Is anyone here still watching Doctor Who?
-
That's awful.

Tom King & Greg Smallwood's The Human Target is amazing. The script and art are absolutely top-level stuff.

What were the best comics published in 2021?
If it appeared in 2021 or it was cover-dated 2021, that's close enough. And "best" can mean "best of the small cross section I read" or "my favourite".
Here's my list of approximately 5*:
Immortal Hulk
Viz
2000AD
Human Target
* For certain values of 5. I mean, I struggled this year.

That's the correct course of action.

This is eyebrow-raising: Marvel breaks ties with Joe Bennett, removes Immortal Hulk artist from upcoming projects

I don't think anyone knows yet. The movie won't be released until December.

Christian, have you finished The Sunken Land Begins to Rise Again? If so, what did you make of it?

I was finally able to acquire M. John Harrison’s new novel, The Sunken Lands Begin to Rise Again. It was only just released over here.

I ordered it the same day and it arrived a couple of days ago. Nice work, Book Depository! It's a handsome and inviting book, can't wait to begin it — but I'm still reading a WWII novel Death of a Regiment, and by rights Nigel Balchin's Darkness Falls From The Air should be next in the queue.

The real question here is, did you sell all your monthly issues?

A belated merry Christmas and happy new year to all survivors! Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner.
I'm currently in the Lake District with m' lass, because Australia finally opened its borders!
