It would be a disaster for Constantine to go up against How to Get Away with Murder, that show pretty much killed it with the ratings it got.

Usually in TV standards when the network puts a halt on the full seasons productions it means that they've lost faith in it. The only other times is if the series has already been doing reasonably well and they decide to split the full 24 episodes up.

It was different rather than out and out bad, but a lot of the differences were very central to John's character.
I dropped it, finally, with the trenchcoat story.
I seem to recall him saying he was glad to see the ending open to everyone's personal interpretation.
Which is fair enough.
In other words "I can't be arsed enough to explain my colossal fuck up."

Has Milligan ever talked about his finale in retrospect? Because usually writers will sometimes look back on previous work and go "Yeah, that was shit." or "I wrote that because A,B, and C."
I'd have to reread a ton of hellblazer just to get a get a good perspective on how bad his characterization was.

Well we know that Jim Corrigan becomes The Spectre, the problem is that they really haven't done much with his character so far besides show that he has a good heart. Also, I have a feeling that they probably planned for him to become The Spectre in one of the episodes that was in the area of the hauled ones.

I wouldn't be too upset if it got cancelled, they did cut the full 24 episodes down to 13. So when it returns it's only going to have like 4 more episodes left and it makes me wonder if they had enough time to rewrite the scripts and push the plot forward. So far it seems kind of like they did, but I wonder what they will do with the Great Darkness, because in the comic it was Swamp Thing who pretty much talked it out of destroying the Universe. John doesn't seem like he has THAT kind of charm or compassion to do so. Though I do wonder what they will do for season two if it get's picked up? Maybe continue the Nergal story line, though John knowing the demons name in the TV series does kind of ruin that moment in the comic where he finally figured it out.

With the news that it is likely to be canned, it depresses me greatly because I can see they are building up the Great Darkness storyline, just without Swamp Thing.

I've never been a fan of musicals. I didn't get around to fully watching this one, but every time I saw the commercials for it I thought it was just some troll attempt on NBC's part when they kept talking about Christopher Walken. Then I realized I was wrong and had to see just how awkward and bad he was compared to everybody else. His entire dance and singing just seemed like he got drunk off craft services and they just rushed him on stage.

that looked awful in the commercials for it. why is Peter Pan always played by a chick?
Peter Pan has always been played by a chick in the stage version. What made this whole thing comedy gold was Christopher Walken's "I don't give a shit, where's my paycheck?" role.

Next week we will finally see Reverse-Flash. Supposedly they are hinting that it's not Harrison Well's or Eddie Thawn, which could be nice if he was somebody completely new or hell what if he was the First Reverse-Flash aka The Rival who was a Jay Garrick villain. I am going to assume though that Wells DOES become the Zoom later on, and maybe then we end getting Eddie Thawn as the 3rd Reverse-Flash.
On another note, Wells could be Rip Hunter making sure that Barry doesn't go missing and trying to fix the time stream.

I know Shia hate is so 2004, but...
http://www.theguardi...dazed?CMP=fb_gu
Did he see the word "rape" trending on twitter, and decided to join in the fun? And I really find it problematic that he calls this situation, where he COULD have voiced his lack of consent - rape. I know the lack of "no" doesn't equal consent, but he chose the avenue of artistic performance expression, which blurs the boundaries of societal norms [like Marina Abramovic's Rhytm 0, which is something Shia most certainly looked up to/tried to evoke], and this just seems to be another grab for attention, after the buzz from that, admittedly nifty,
from several weeks ago, wore of.From the article it doesn't make any sense. IF he was actually Raped, then wouldn't he have broke the fourth wall and stopped whatever the hell he calls this and had security take her away before before anything happened? Also, what about his supposed other friends there that helped with the exhibit? Wouldn't there have been a point BEFORE anything happened that they would have stepped in. From what I've read is that they were supposedly watching and had the thing set up to maintain his "safety". But then you put the tools and weapons there for whoever enters to do whatever they want to you.
The entire story itself is incredibly questionable. "She whipped my leg 15 times.." yeah, because you told them to do whatever they want and you GAVE them the whip.

If they REALLY want to make the show close to the comic series they could have John constantly say "Strueth" and also wear that blue suit that he wore in the early series.

I recall reading that in order to prapre for his role in Fury he actually cut himself up and had a few teeth pulled to make it seem "real". Granted, that doesn't stop his acting from being boarderline awful.

Supposedly this episode was going to be the 3rd episode but they decided to play it out of order. Usually that's a bad sign for a TV series.

Apparently Assassins Creed: Unity is so buggy that UBisoft decided to cancel their season pass and just refund people or give them the option of getting a much game.

Hannibal is great except for the part where Hannibal himself is pretty much unstoppable and the FBI on the show are complete fuckwits.
Hopefully this Season actually ends on a decent note and not on a massive cliff hanger. Though with them building up to the Rising Darkness, it seems like it's obviously going to be the First of The Fallen or Great Darkness from Swamp Thing.

Supposedly they're going to explain how he doesn't die and why he's not immortal. I'm going to assume his revive ability has some limitations like beheading or being blown up.

Picked up a Xbox One today, my gamertag is Wolvy82.

Apparently people are arguing about the foliage on GTA 5 being better on the PS4 than the Xbox One. That's right, they are debating about the goddamn grass in a video game. What the fuck?

It's just such a glaring show of hypocricy, when you in order to attack a person who demonstrably has never argued for censorhip (Sarkeesian), ally yourself with the actual poster boy for censorship, while still arguing that Sarkeesian wants censorship.
This really is in Bizarroland.
I don't think Jack Thompson actually wanted censorship, because there was an article a few years back where he complained about Tetris being some sort of Soviet propaganda. Mother fucking Tetris for shits sake. The man just wants attention and will latch on to anything that he can. Granted, nobody takes him seriously or has taken him seriously forever, and he got sillier when was disbarred and laughed out of Florida.

It's TV so they most likely just have the actors make up phrases and words that SOUND like actual spells.
-
I thought it was a great episode and much better than the pilots or the 2nd episode. Hopefully they stick with the tone of the Vertigo Comic and ignore the DC comic one.

I kind of like her character, though it was odd how the promos for the TV series pretty much hyped up this other girl has having some "gift" and John being there to help her. Then they just boot her after the first episode.

Good episode, though I was a bit disappointed with the Inception type deal they went through.
