I was thinking of getting a Mac Mini as even carrying a laptop from country to country can get on your tits after a while (and I never need a computer in transit anyway) reasoning that I could just leave a monitor, keyboard and mouse with various family members in the world. Then I found out that to even change something as simple as memory requires a trip to an Apple blokey. So I got on the Apple website to check out how much a Mini would cost fully loaded (DVD burning drive, max memory, bluetooth etc) and it was nearly £800.

Think I'll just get a second hand Powerbook, at least I can put stuff in myself. If I didnt like Adobe Creative Suite and Quark on the Mac so much I'd probably switch back to pc , XP is growing on me but I hate Windows Media Player.
