Well, now Donny, you KNOW that's just crazy talk. The day pigs fly, my friend, the day pigs fly...

Anyway, yes, I've been away, in Copenhagen and Bruxelles, a study trip about the EU and environment organized by Friends of the Earth Norway. 20 students and young adults, one week, lots of belgian beer and listening to various people talking about the EU - good fun! Bruxelles is not a very impressive city - some nice spots here and there, but horribly polluted, and the whole city is sort of a building site. And their computers have silly silly french-style keyboards, and their internet cafés are expensive and don't allow access to this kind of site... :( (Not that I had much time to try, mind you). Now I'm back at work, trying to ignore the avalanche of work piled up since I went away, and catching up on this board, which seems a Sisyphosian task at best.

So, having been in Bruxelles and missing most of this discussion, I really don't have much to add. I loved the issue, gave it a 10, although I *might* have overdone it there...

Anyway, just one thing: Why are demons so easily fooled by JC? Because they don't have souls! This makes them unable to grasp the nuances and complexities of human relationships. They may be cunning, and extremely powerful, but they can never really "get" people. It's the same in "Lucifer" - in the "Dalliance with the Damned" arc, Lucifer, to PUNISH a demon gives him a soul, because then he can be endlessly tortured, and feel real anguish, instead of just ceasing to exist, as demons otherwise do.

And yes, Rosa has badly underestimated John (because she, too is a demon, even though she's more cunning than most of them), and will pay BADLY for that mistake.
