  1. And amid all the craziness of road conditions there, LA drivers drive fast.

Too true, too true. But some far more faster than others :) I consider myself to be a safe driver but I have a habit of knifing through.

You might get frustrated in Honolulu for the exact opposite reasons as LA or other places in Cali…people here are so laid back and drive so slow and some people here can be SO nice that they sit at intersections and are like:

    Driver1: you go

    Driver2: no You go

Driver3: no you were here first I insist it be you…

    Driver4: oh but I couldn’t possibly

    goblin: FUCK!!!

HAH! I wish we had that here, then I'd just be the first to go while everyone else is still deciding. But since this is the rant thread....

I hate being the only independent driver in my group of friends. Everyone wants me to do the driving because "Well my car's too old, it can't go that far." or "But you know how to read a map!" or "You drive faster than me." or "My mom doesn't trust me on the freeway." W.T.F. I want to start charging them for gas.

  2. I am parting with some stuff, le sigh.

    Hellblazer: Everything HB SOLD

    Hellblazer Annual

    $3 ($2 USA, $4 abroad)

Great condition, no rips or stains, stored in a plastic sleeve but it doesn’t look new.

    The Horrorist 1 & 2

    Set of 2 - $8 ($4 USA, $6 abroad)

    Each book - $4 ($2 USA, $4 abroad)

Both books are in excellent condition, no flaws at all, almost like new.

    Hellblazer/Books of Magic #1

    $2 ($2 USA, $4 abroad)

    Also in excellent condition, unfortunately it’s only #1, I don’t have a spare #2

    Paquet/Fabry Statue #1947 of 2500

    $50 ($25 USA, $35 abroad)

You may ask “Bonnie, why so cheap?” It’s cause I bought this one second hand for $50. On the surface he looks like new, then you turn it over and he looks like this. Previous owner mounted him to a shelf and chipped the base trying to pry it off. The tip of the ear on the lower left demon is also chipped but has been painted to look less noticeable. I am a greedy bitch, I own two Hellblazer statues, sooo I want this one to go to a new home. John will come in his original box.

    Other stuff:

Mint on Card Planetary Action Figures

    Set of 3 - $21 ($7 USA, $9 abroad)

    each figure - $8 ($5 USA, $7 abroad)

Full Sized Gambit Statue – Diamond Select #663 of 3000

    $65 ($20 USA, $30 abroad)

This boy is in mint condition, I displayed him on my computer desk out of sunlight. He’ll come in his original box with COA.

Full Sized "Young Justice" Robin statue #992 of 1500

    $40 ($20 USA, $30 abroad)

He *would* be in mint condition except that his right ankle is cracked. I did it, it was an accident when I was moving my statues around. The crack was very clean, no chips or scratches, and I managed to fix it, except it's still a little noticeable. That's why he's only $40 eheh...

Brom “Angel of Darkness” porcelain statue – Franklin Mint

    $70 ($20 USA, $30 abroad)

She’s also in mint condition, displayed on the computer deck. Unfortunately I have no idea where her COA went… The Franklin Mint statues came in big foam boxes which I no longer have, but I will pack her as safely as possible and provide insurance too.

That’s all for now, pictures coming later tonight. I can take Paypal, check, or money orders from anyone in the US. Paypal is preferred for you people outside the country but I can do checks or money orders too. I ship everything by Priority Mail, except for comics which go for regular first class. If anyone’s interested please PM or email me. Open only to STH members who signed up prior to 3-03-06.

  3. Good luck with that Chan. What exactly are you up to?

For the performance show I'm going to be doing an installation/endurance piece where I'll be running and tackling my partner for twenty minutes straight. Then I'm going to do a corpsey rope&chain routine to "When the Levee Breaks" For Senior Ex, I'm taking photos of Ball Jointed Dolls in several costumes and settings then at the opening I'll be mingling with the audience dressed as the dolls. I gotta make like four costume changes in one hour!

  4. Two shows in two weeks, super stressed but also excited. This will be my last performance art show before I graduate, and my first of two senior exhibitions. Got to perform next Thursday then spend the following week mounting photographs and making costumes. Lots of work to be done!

  5. These stories are pretty creepy. I can't remember the weirdest of all weirdness right now but something weird happened to me a few nights ago. I went out at midnight to call the dog back into the house. She didn't come to the door so I went into the yard to find her. I went to her doghouse thinking she might be inside and I said "Sio~uxsie do~g..." This thing answered back with a really deep "Rrrrrrr...." and I was like "Dog, don't talk to me like that." then my dog comes trotting from the gate and sits beside me. I didn't want to know wtf was in the doghouse so I just ran back inside with the dog. Went to check it out next morning, nothing in there and no evidence of anything being in there :o

  6. I'm in the $11-$20 range. Some months I'm grabbing only one or two issues, others I'm picking up a new TPB (comic or manga!) and well, no worries Lou I think we might be tied for action figure spending

  7. Falling into bad habit again. Every quarter there's at least one class that I rarely attend. I got my midterm back for that class, I heard the average was a C. I was scared because I studied only from my notes and didn't do ANY of the assigned readings. Got a solid B. I really should break this bad habit....

  8. This is a wound thread now

When I was five I took a school trip to Disneyland. This lady was playing with her baby on a ledge where people can sit and watch the parades. Baby took a dive to the floor head first and I remember the BIGGEST bump blew up on its skull..

Sometime in kindergarten a group of us were playing on the slide during break. One boy was taking his sweet time at the top so I gave him a little push. He went face first and hit the ground, breaking his mouth. That was really bloody eheh.
