  1. I'd love to see John as a ghost.... I find there's something romantic and touchingly tragic about a spirit wandering the earth with no real place to go. And yet it might be "corny" if John is a ghost that helps Gemma out if she becomes the new Constantine....

Also keep in mind that the movie was made to end in two hours or less. Hellblazer on the other hand has been going for like 20 years... so each writer eventually faces having to put John through something that's new and interesting but not so life-changing that for it to be "realistic" the comic series would have to end. A movie can be consistent within itself which is why I liked the Constantine film (it can stand alone fairly well too). A comic series can be consistent too.... if it stays with one writer all the way  But the comic has much more potential for character development and all that literary stuff that usually doesn't fit into a film.

Anyway I also prefer the comic over the film, but I still enjoyed Constantine enough to see it twice.

  2. Wow, thanks jaynova and Christian for the vote of confidence  I think maybe I just can't concentrate on one thing long enough when my hands aren't actively making change. I took Shaolin Kenpo for a few years and the absolute hardest thing for me was meditation. I found it VERY difficult to just sit around and try to clear my mind, I started thinking about dinner, dirty socks, etc.

  3. I write a lot of sci-fi and dark fiction on the side and many years ago one of my Shadowrun characters needed a vigilante codename so I gave him "ACX" randomly. I was on AOL at the time and didn't have any screen name space left to use for personal emails so I used his ACX name because I nixxed the vigilante concept after like a week or so. The "chan" came around after people started calling me "ACX-chan" on IMs and stuff. Now I use ACX everywhere.

  4. Wow! Thanks so much for looking at them! :D I feel priviliged :D And thanks for your comments!

I'm also rather privvy to being in costume etc, nerd suits, fanatic sports fans, swing dancers from the 20's, afro wigs, funny faces, face paint, mud, dirt, puddle. The works :D

No problem, I love looking at other peoples' artwork. And I loooove being in costume as I'll prove with the link down below....

John, this is for you you non-believer

  5. They do here in the Bay Area.  There's a spot where you can pick up strangers to make up a car pool so you can take the car pool lane, which is better than the others on the freeway.  I think the pickup spot is in Alameda or Oakland for going into San Francisco.

Up in SF I kept my car in the garage and just went Muni and BART all the way.

  6. It worked until I stared at it so blankly everything stopped moving. I think it's an optical illusion based on focus because if I focus on what part of the picture things start moving again but if I take the picture in as a whole nothing moves. Just like those damn magic eye posters

  7. No matter what time I have to wake up I'm almost always off to bed after 1am anyway, a bad habit I need to break since I'd say on average I get about 6-7 hours of sleep. I tend to dream alot and can still remember some of the more interesting ones I've had. I don't think I've had a real nightmare, I've had some scary dreams but not to the point of frightening me awake.

  8. What the shit, why did I have to already make plans for that weekend.... And it's so so so close to me too. I think Tim's going to be at Comic Con International 2005 though right?? That's what I read somewhere, I hope that's right because I'll be at SDCC but I would feel like an idiot for passing up this chance if you aren't...

  9. i thought there was something freaky going on with your eyes, then realised your hair was covering them haha! :D I like the pic, and the shirt! :D

Thank you! I have to admit I'm a costumer at heart so I have no pictures of my "natural" self heh. By the way I've seen your deviantart photographs and I love them. You've picked some great locations and light settings. I kind of like the underexposed quality for Under the Boardwalk.

This is something freaky going on!

  10. For a second there I heard Captain Planet performing the radioactive waste monologue. "Let loose your volley of death, cyberdemon! You struggle in vain!" it's sheer poetry is what it is.

  11. I haven't picked up Franz Ferdinand yet but I love the music video for "Take Me Out" with the Art. Anti-art. references. Chemical Brothers  The last CD I bought was U2's latest... but I was disappointed...

  12. I feel like fingers pointing inward would show that the beastie is confident and capable of pulling itself up, while fingers pointing outward express a kind of uncertainty and that the beastie is at risk of falling down... What kind of materials are you using? I've done some sculptural work myself.

  13. Bwa ha ha ha ha! I'd love to see the situation where two people living in reasonable proximity to each other also happen to work in reasonable proximity to each other, AND keep more or less the same work hours, AND can stand each others' driving and vehicle.

That's what I say when the Rideshare commercials play on the radio.

I still win the gas price race by 8 cents :glare:

  14. Room mate was the rules lawyer from Hell, so I had to really pull some strings with his friend, who was going to DM to have them.

That's why I do Shadowrun freeform primarily, the people I met were also tired of strict rules and iron dice. We were lucky enough to be able to jive with each other without them  I keep all my characters around whether they're active or inactive, it's always good to build up a "supporting cast".
