  1. Playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. Never played one of these games before on a console, finding it pretty hard to master the controls.

It's fun in a huge side questy mess kind of way that reminds me a lot of Neverwinter Nights but it's also really annoying and a bit awkward. And the sound design is terrible.

  2. Been a while since I found a web comic worth sharing.

www.sssscomic.com Is interesting though, post apocalyptic setting, with a mix of Finnish and Scandinavian languages. Slow pace though so don't get excited about the story getting anywhere yet, its a year old long form webcomic, those don't tend to move quick.

  3. Your continued insistence on arguing that its not a game (despite nobody actually arguing with you about that) has made me go read it. I found it deep and touching and enjoyed the experience immensely, so thanks for that.

[edit] Except for Red, who is by the way correct anyway.

  4. Finally did the raid in Destiny, did it with a group that knows what it was doing so it was a bit of a blur since I didn't catch 100% the reasoning behind the tactics but it is so much more entertaining than the usual Destiny mission design. I also now have two of the spiffiest guns in the game, one of which (a self charging sniper rifle) kind of breaks PvE completely so I'm hoping I won't get bored now. Luckily it can't be equipped at the same time as my space cowboy revolver (complete with silly hammer fanning and gun spins). I'll soon get an almost infinite ammo machine gun which also can't be equipped at the same time as those.

It's still not a great game, but it is a fun gun hoarder/space doll dress up game.

  5. Ebola is pretty fucking terrible and while you probably don't need to be worried about your personal safety it has the potential to do some serious damage in Africa. It would be nice if the media focused on that rather than the single aid worker being ushered into a hospital in Oslo today.

Media is a business, fear sells.

  6. I did add you but I've heard that it's not reliably sending invites. You can try adding me if you want. username is mickeyeye

Got my first 4 levels after 20 quite quickly but now it's turning a little grindey trying to level the items individually.

  7. I will add you later, though I suspect our time zones may never meet.

I'm almost level 20 and looking forward to unlocking some end game. I have a lot of criticism for the game, but mostly about the storyline campaign and bland calculated soullessness of the world so far. The game is at its best for me with co-op strikes, and then it's really good.

  8. No comments on this one yet? At the start I was thinking it was going to be like "To the memory of the memory of Lisa Yates." By the end I wished it had been like that. It wasn't terrible and I liked the

death fake outs, including the idea that the Doctor tricked himself into thinking they were dead

but it's probably my least favourite episode so far.

  9. In some round about way George Galloway seems to have sometime last week. I was on holiday so thankfully missed it. My former classmate was liking some other commentary about it comparing, somehow, Scotland pre-referendum to 1930s Germany, I'm not going to bother digging it up, it was quite dumb.

  10. On another note Mickey raises, plenty of people on both sides of the border have been thinking that a yes vote is possible for a while now: the RBS and Lloyds have set up exit plans to shift all their business out of Scotland, for instance, and the MOD have been eyeing up the west country to find another trident base...

RBS and Lloyds said they would move their headquarters to England to protect their credit rating, they would not "shift all their business out of Scotland". As for Trident, please leave.

At this point I'm expecting a no vote, as much as I wish it wasn't so. I hope that either way it is by a large margin so that it will be done with, otherwise a narrow no will probably mean another referendum in 10 years time and a narrow yes will leave a lot of people upset with not much they can do about it.

  11. I think you misread me there. I'm well aware there are no certainties but until this week nobody south of the border thought anything but "no" was possible. Now we have the Daily Mail praising Gordon Brown, which is the weirdest thing ever.

Personally I'd vote yes if I could.
