take an historic blue state that never voted for a republican in any election until the 1980s--the state of texas which has, through gerrymandering and corrupt election policy, been dyed red since the late 1980s, and long enough now to have an entrenched conservative power structure. But texas is where that booming hispanic population is growing fastest, and by 2020, texas will be a blue state once again. this has people like Trump, the Kocks, and all those other progress, equality and fairness hating suits running for office scared, because when Texas goes back to the democrats, florida will too (it has a smaller margin of GOP control over the state than texas does) and who used to be gov of FLA? that other goddamned Bush!

if texas and florida turn blue, then that means wage equality, liberal education reform, minority rights, regulations which protect the population from corporate corruption and holds them accountable--all that can return to the nation supposedly helming the "beacon of democracy" crown which really doesn;t exist.they don't want to lose control over their sweet gig where they hold sway over income inequality, paying less or no taxes, and the govt bailing them out when they fuck up their own companies. and who's the obvious targets? why, all these brown people who are not overwhelming our system or taking jobs away from glorious white people or anything like that. but the fucker who yells the loudest gets heard the most (except for Howard Dean who yelled and it got him booted in 2000)

STAR TREK Renegades - sorry, but even with Chekov, Tuvok, Edward Furlong, Sean Young, TV's Doogie Howser, etc, it still looked, acted, Smelled and fucked like a fan film. A decent fan film, but a fan film nonetheless. Low budget with a ton of OK CGI. C+

Smokin Aces was badass. I know it's been out for a while but I missed it when it dropped and fuckin loved the shit out of it. A+

And dig the cast: Ryan Reynolds, Andy Garcia and Ray Liotta as feds; Common, Jeremy Piven, and Curtis Armstrong as mobsters; Chris Pine, Kevin Durand, Alecia Keys, Ben Affleck, Peter Berg, Jason Bateman and more as hit men. CRAZY!
