Also yay.
So far so good.

I'd recommend the radio 6music programme she did . I think it's misleadingly called the Leisure Society.
A few weeks back.

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 yesterday and Thor Ragnarok.
Great fun, and I really do like how they have rehabilitated some of the villains in the Marvel universe films.
Jeff Goldblum should totally appear as the main villain in #3.
And I reckon that's my favourite Stan Lee cameo (with the barber in TR close second) outside of Deadpool trailers.

Here is a photo of the view outside my window right now.

I was thinking, reading your first paragraph, how it reminds me of the Golden Age (lol) of Kurt Busiek, whose Astro City took on some of his ideas that didn't fit at the big two and has become a much better thing. Obviously Lemire had to do a bit more work before he could get to Black Hammer, but you're right that it fits nicely here.
I can't remember the last time my top 5 comics did not include work by Lemire.
Think I'll pop into the comic shop when I venture to Snowbound Harrow later to purchase cold alleviating medicines (which I cannot mention by name as it's also a Marvel character)

We'll have proper snow again when we leave the EU
I am snowbound with a cold and sore throat. So watching DVDs
Colossal was grand.
And Smoke Signals.
Now I am watching a film where Aubrey Plaza dresses as Catwoman and says "Fuck me Bruce. Gotham needs you."
It's about someone who gets obsessed with internet "friendship"...
Sorry.

I think I bought the Legion collection.
How does this work? What's the one that Mike Carey wrote?
Hmm, maybe I didn't buy it. Unless I sent it to the wrong address. I looked at it in the shop and the later art is distressing.
Meanwhile, I found some bags of old comics that I must have brought from my Dad's last year.
The Lost (Andreyko, Showman, Geldhof)
Squalor (Petrucha)
Empty Love Stories #1 (Steve Darnall, various artists) which reminds me to recommend Twisted Romance anthology, a weekly burst of fun)
And... wait for it ... Ethan Van Sciver's Cyberfrog !

It seems as if it will be very hard to top Mr. Miracle, Exit Stage Left, and Koschei for the best comics of 2018.
I have taken your advice on Mr Miracle.
I also glanced at the page in the Antimethea comic where she appears and thought I might vomit.
Are we to assume that some people who make decisions about comics are idiots?
On the bright side, a quick survey of the current DC Roster tells me that I am enjoying the silly crossover with the new Vertigfaux comics by Daniel Way and his friends.
Young Monsters in Love and Swamp Thing winter specials were nice. And Mystik U turns out to be a decent YA comic with a crap name.
I might give Neal Adams' Deadman a go when it is collected. And I loved the classic Pieta cover of Batman and Clayface, but not enough to buy the innards of the comic.
(There are some lovely covers on bad DC comics right now, aren't there?)I will be buying Liam Sharp's nice work

I won't be buying any others in the Infinity thing - that I am aware - but the Allred Warlock is fab.

I did not judge the book by its cover, I merely judged them independently of each other.

It sounds rubbish, from the title alone, what is it?
-
That's because Vertigo gives work back to the owners to do what they want after the initial commitment.
Seems very reasonable since many of these would not be so successful to start with, if not for the wider promotion that a vertigo launch gives.

Piers Morgan has actually gone down the line of this being sexist against men because if it were two women ...
What a COCKWOMBLE

"I guess I did want to write a different type of comic: one that gained its impetus from the horror – largely social and political – shared and hopefully understood by both its characters and readers," says Delano.

Nice to own this cover, and do you know what, this was badly paced all over the place, but actually the second best issue of the story arc 3/10
Thank goodness for DCU CROSSOVERS !!! Is that right, did someone say that was happening?

It's a breakfast (edited version, no eggs) that was served to Aleister Crowley.
It was also my entire weekend's non-fruit&veg food supply :-)- 2

It's a good series although the interview can be a bit gushy
