We won't know that until July or August, when issue #2 actually ships.
The art is going to be a distinct improvement over the New 52 mess.
There were quite a few nice covers on the New 52 issues, but the insides were usually really bad artwork, not fitting with a supposed Constantine series, at all.
As far as I know, Newcastle was not part of the New 52's John back-story, so it looks like DC is at least trying to set some things right with the new book, so it doesn't immediately alienate Hellblazer fans again.
Yeah. The fact that we see Gaz (?), Anne Marie, and Ben Cox in all their ghostly glory is refreshing. Im beginning to think the new jacket really is taking cue from the TV coat (save for the last scene of the season finale of course with the proper one); still not thrilled about the pant legs being hiked up unless its ment to be boots

You're hurting me.
That would be Rogen. I'm just a mentally damaged bystandar

Man, from what I recall the whole Quincannon arc was a real low point of this series. We'll play the wait and see game.
Going by the description it looks like they're merging Quinncannon with Grandma L'Angel and/or Jodie seeing as Rogen and Goldberg are tying Vyla to John Custer. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they rebranded Jesse's mother's maiden name from L'Angel to Quinncannon like Geoff Johns made Martha Wayne's maiden name Arkham for Batman: Earth One

IT'S A TRAP!!

Looks like Rogen may have been doing sneak reads from this past season Walking Dead scripts. Odin Quincannon is now Vyla Quincannon.

Based on what I've read on the other changes, it looks like the majority of the comic's structure may been altered too much (I.e. Keeping everything in Annville and less to none traveling)

I agree with this. If we are going to have a youngish John who is wearing suits by choice in 2015, you would think he would be a bit more fastidious with his clothes.
Like Sean Murphy's Critical Mass cover w/ John wearing not only his coat, shirt and tie but a vest (albeit unbuttoned)

So, Snyder is indeed adapting bits of Dark Knight Returns as the basis of kicking off Justice League and the rest of his driven DCU on film......
Don't know about you guys but I want this to bomb so the WB can go back to the drawing board and just let Bruce Timm be the CCO of DC and the film creative architect of the DCCU

The main problem is that this show does make Arrow and The Flash or any other network super hero show look kind of bad.
Arrow's bad on its own and Geoff Johns' St. Barry obsessed ass is the albatross around The Flash's neck on TV as Rebirth was/is to the comic

The internet is where anyone can play at being journalists, but not have the ethical and qualitative constraints on reporting a story.
Then again certain newspapers have developed a style that allows them to publish lies and rumours as fact and then detract.
Web sites aim for the clicks that an unconfirmed "story" can generate, I suppose.
And there's a large significant subset of nerds who MUST know stuff about films and TV before they get to watch it.
My small contribution to this scenario is not to click on those sort of links.
The comicvine site says our intrepid "reporter" (gossipmonger) is retracting her "I have researched this story".
After I called her out on Twitter saying she didn't have the facts and her opinion was just that; she tried to say "Its the opinion of NBC. Reflect the energy at them". Nope. I know who I was reflecting at and surprise, surprise she retracted.

aw fuck, this has ruined all other comic book shows for me
Yeah. DD handed Arrow, Gotham, S.H.E.I.L.D., and The Flash their asses and can go toe to toe with The Walking Dead
-
Ade's right on one thing: NBC should go ahead and renew to give the cancel hounds the giant fuck you they deserve
-
As Potter said, its not finished yet so we may see it modified in The Defenders.
-
Now finished the binge, this may be the only Marvel TV show, I fucks with that is superior to AOS and even Agent Carter as much as I adore seeing (and hearing since her Big Finish guest work exposed me to her) Hayley Attwood

i just wish your feelings towards the ratings of constantine would have been as affirmative.
Im still pissed how far off my predictions were.

Watched the first 4 episodes. I had a feeling the show would be a big game changer for Marvel nevermind Agent Carter. And I was right!
-
Looks good enough, I suppose
Well they did have to differenate it from Affleck's '03 suit. I still hold out hope for Spidey's Web-Armpits to make its LA debut.
Anyway, the series premieres in 8 hours

DAS SUIT!

you mind sharing who?
Naturi Naughton

I am doing the same. I fucking loved Dani.
They should add that to the final ever Hellblazer trade.
I don't know what Constantine/Injustice character he's with there but Dani was my favourite of John's girlfriends so I'll just assume it's her.
I adore her a great deal. If we get pass the renewal hurdle, I have an actress in mind to play her for the show in future

And how does Dark Entries fit into the timeline? Before it turned into a 'chased by a demon" mess, I thought it was pretty good. Our whole playlist idea came out of that book when John said he was going to make someone a mixtape.
The same with City of Demons and Pandemonium: After Diggle (the ONLY things after Diggle). If not there then post somewhere between him and Mina

should i read dark entries and shade? especially for shade i always thought: nah thats milligan, i gonna be disappointed anyway.
