Full disclosure: I don't really know what tumblr is. Don't bother telling me.
Picture 4chan but in blue
I think it's a dating site for acrobats and clowns
No. It's a site that obnoxiously stands up for acrobats and clowns.
Cirque Soleil?

I'm not blaming Keanu for the Constantine film being bad. I've said time and again that I don't care about things like Constantine being American or having dark hair. That's not an issue. I wouldn't think Keanu was a good choice, but if the script had been excellent, it would be easy to get by Keanu not really being an ideal Constantine, in any world.
I'm just saying that the fact that the film people went after Keanu to play John Constantine based on his role of Neo shows how they had no understanding of the character, and hence, why the script was atrocious. I wouldn't look at a character playing an action role and think, "That's the type of characterization we want for John Constantine!". It shows that the script they were writing was all wrong.
I don't blame Keanu, in any way, for Constantine being such an awful movie. It wasn't his fault, in the least.
Especially to rake in what little money The Maxtrix Resolutions left behind on it theatrical run

if preacher gets to be adapted on AMC, ol' conjob would fit right in there.
And sadly, it had to be at the hands of Rogen and Goldberg of all people..... Fuck.
-
The episode title is indeed named after #4
-
Again, HBO is excluded unless the Time Warner strong arms the network into jumping on the comic book show bandwagon (and its unlikely to happen at this time)
-
apparently people on Tumblr are still mad and bringing up old stuff just to stay mad at the show. They ask for bisexuality, the show gives bisexuality, and they're still mad. Plus, I don't think someone who is bisexual just randomly yells it out to the world. In a normal situation I would think they would give small hints of flirtations here and there, which is what John has done.
In a way, Tumblr babies don't understand how bisexuality works. Real life isn't an episode of Torchwood (especially circa S1)
-
I'd put $$ down on it being SyFy (still hate that name). It's under the NBC/Universal banner. Easier to shift there, that way they can say they are still supporting it..blah blah blah.
USA Network might be a strong second. But they don't really do this sort of programming, going more for safer material.
Not in the last 23 years since they had Swamp Thing, at least. But it wouldn't hurt them to try especially now to win back the viewers they may lose over the cancellations of Rush and Covert Affairs
-
Family Guy's still the posterchild for it
It's also the posterchild for why it can be a terrible thing, but that's ok
Except it came back to the same network. Adult Swim repeats and the DVD sales was what brought it back
-
AMC. But it's so rare that a canceled show ever resurfaces on another network. I know they sometimes do, but it must be a real low percentage.
Longmire*
Arrested Development*
Get Smart (NBC kicked it to the curb at the end of the 1968-69 season but CBS picked it up for one more year)
Medium (see above)
Futurama
The Critic (canned by ABC one year, later revived and canned by FOX the following year)
Home Movies (UPN killed it only for a newly launched Adult Swim to resurrect it three years later)
American Dad (FOX axed it last spring and TBS immediately picked it up)
Community (once NBC's is now Yahoo's)
And that's just off the top of my head
*Special cases as they were Network2Stream Service transitions

I prefer British Broadcaster like Channel 4 and Sky.
But HBO also looks promising.
I said HBO's omitted. In a pre-Michael Lombardo era of the network, it would be right at home (much like how Spawn was back in the day) but now it'll get rejected just like Preacher. Not unless Time Warner (which owns them along side DC, Cinemax and New Line) strongarms Lombardo into taking the show though it might trigger potential resentment to where he may want to kill the show stone dead.
-
There's SyFy, FX, or TNT.
Syfy because it seems like a good home for Constantine. Plus SyFy was the station that replayed old episodes of Constantine while it was going to episode 5 premiere. So if NBC ever quit on Constantine, SyFy could pick them up for a season 2.
FX is more of a last resort.
TNT is a pretty good choice since it could easily play Constantine with its dark style and comic book atmosphere.
Especially since they've gotten away with their ratings juggernaut in the Librarians of late

was john's bisexuality really that big of a deal in the comics anyway ? i remember like one quote about it in the comics and the obvious mentions and , ew, doggy blowjob in azzarello's run ( which would technically make him into beastiality in that case, even if he was drunk off his ass and tricked into doing that, so i guess he really is one kinky bastard) . otherwise he's a relentless womanizer most of the time. been a while since i read up on some good ol' fashioned hellblazer anyways though.
To some, they always cite #51 and Ashes and Dust for bisexuality
Apparently it was mentioned much earlier then that. in one of the Swamp thing comics, someone called out to John saying "Hey Fruit Loop!" which was apparently a slur back then.
When one of the rednecks had the gall to piss him off just after learning of Emma's death. I do remember but that barely registered as an early reference. Zed asking Ray Monde about his ties to John, maybe (thought Ray balked at the thought)

After the episode finished, I remarked to my wife (as non-spoilery as I could, since she could care less about the comics) that I was really surprised Anne Marie made it to the end of the episode. I fully expected the Invunche to reappear to take care of business.
I was expecting it too. I beginning to think we would've had her, Judith and Ritchie dead by Ep. 22 had things went in our favor

SInce there's been a discussion of which channel ouside of NBC would best suit the show has come up for sometime, I've decided to create this poll thread to express which channel would get Constantine in the event of the big C and if Cerone and Goyer want to shop the show around to a new home.
HBO and Showtime are omitted from the polls due to their belief of comic adaptations being beneath them; especially HBO since their content in passing on Preacher and continue to adapt mediocre books into shows. Netflix is also omitted on the grounds of the Marvel deal (i.e. Daredevil, The Defenders). The CW is also omitted and with many reasons. One of which being they'd sooner have it be more in line with the New 52 as Arrow and The Flash in tone and storytelling. The other being it can't co-exist on a network with the very show it nicked bits and pieces from (i.e. Supernatural) and the network's unable to let it end since its creator wanted it to end after season five.
Annnd GO!

Nah. just a series of unfortunate events
-
I think the real moral of the episode is that Efren Ramirez is turning into Dave Grohl
So there was a reason to vote for Pedro after all?
-
From Manco's depiction I'd say she's slightly heavier set.
And Phillips had her heavy ala Hattie Jacques

What did the programme that replaced Constantine get last night?
And what did the programme that Constantine replaced used to get ?
Dateline got 8M when it was at 8PM and it earned 4.50M in its new slot.
Another factor in this week's slump is NBC not promoting the new timeslot on air alot compared to via social media
-
I'm afraid that's it.
I'm not. The millions tuned in are of the similar size as The Darkness Beneath's three months ago. In the case of here, some may have been out of the loop about the timeslot change until right now. Episodes 3-5 managed to have the show bounce back from the Halloween ratings so who's to say Episodes 10-13 won't do the same this time around.
Then there's the L+3 ratings. Looking at The Darkness Beneath's, Part 2's may be on par with it at 4.7-4.9M with the demo there being between 1.5-1.7 tops

Did John take the Pazuzu inside? Yes. Told you he was bi. #Constantine #Hellblazers
I was a little under-whelmed by parts of this.
The prison scenes didn't seem prisony enough.

We shot the prison scenes in an actual prison. #Constantine
Was it me or was the music when Zed's useless captor went to stick her with the green sleeping syringe the same as the Reanimator theme?
Liked the exorcism and the dynamic between the four main characters.
Liked the Serpent chappy. If they are going to introduce the demonic reincarnation thing from the popular comic, Hellblazer, he'd be a good one to bring back.
Only slightly disappointed that they tricked us all who expected the demon blood to be introduced properly.
What a rollercoaster of an episode to introduce the new folks with.
I wasn't. It wouldn't feel right having Pazuzu's blood flowing through our boy when Nergal's would be the more obvious candidate

Part 2's ratings (courtesy of SpoilerTV): http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/01/ratings-news-17th-january-2015.html
3.08 Million Viewers
18-34 Demo: 0.5
25-54 Demo: 1.1
Total Demo: 0.8
Here's hoping the L+3 fare better when the results post next Saturday
Constantine S01E10 "Quid Pro Quo"
in Constantine - Adaptations on screen

The way it was going, it does seem they show may go one area the comics never gotten a chance to do: presening Mary-Anne Constantine beyond the flashbacks
