I loved Fifth Business.

I'm reading Robertson Davies's The Lyre of Orpheus. No, haven't finished System of the World, it's too heavy to carry around, and I kinda gave up Nights at the Circus cuz I didn't like it.

As some of you may know, my mother is in real estate, she owns some properties in neighbourhoods that... aren't always so nice, and today, I was cleaning a recently vacated apartment when I found two used syringes. As I've said before, I'm really a good kid, so I was totally freaked out. I nearly pissed myself from fear. Also, that place had a lot of dead cockroaches.

Apocsol bit my finger.

Thanks, guys, but I didn't get it.
Charlie, did you see that movie?

Constantine met Batman in Swamp Thing.
He doesn't think much of Batman.
Very soon, someone more obsessed than I am will be by with issue number and direct quote.

I went for an interview for the position of DJ for the school radio station today. I'll be finding out if I got it tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I went to see "The Lady of the Camellias" today. In french. It was for school. I think there might be something wrong with me. Every one around me was saying, "This is so good! In all my years of season tickets here this is the best!" but I didn't like it that much. There was a box where you could put in slips of paper with one to four stars on it. Everyone I saw put four stars. I put three.
I think it was too tragic for my tastes. I was like,
The fact that the male lead SUCKED didn't help, although the girl was very good.

I just bought System of the World by Neal Stephenson for $10. It was the only volume of the Baroque Cycle I hadn't read.
I also got Angela Carter's Nights at the Circus yesterday.
Are you shitting me?! First Isherwood, now Neal Stephenson and Angela Carter, Coralys you are my reading twin! You seem to be perfectly replicating the reading schedule of my mid to late teen years.
Have you read anything by Angela Carter before? I'm of the opinion that her short stories and essays are vastly superior to her novels. A book review by Carter is an absolute delight. Especially when it's a book she doesn't like.
:D Glad to hear that we are so alike, Claire.
I've read Angela Carter's Wise Children, which I absolutely, absolutely loved. It's one of my top four favorite novels ever. I think this one isn't as good, though. I will be reading one of her short stories soon, because I peeked ahead at my English class syllabus and saw that one of the them was included.
No, we can't be twins, because your photo comics really don't suck, whereas mine really did.

I'm at college now.
I think the atmosphere here has changed since last tuesday. People are a lot more positive with each other. I guess having a crazed gunman come into your school and start shooting puts things into perspective.
I like the school better now.

I just found out that MuchMusic, which is live MTV, but sorta Canadian, has music videos on it's site. It even allows you to search for other videos while watching and allows you to create a playlist. I think most videos are fairly recent ones, though.

Yeah, I liked Cryptonomicon, but I was referring to Quicksilver.

Good, aren't they?
Yeah, they are good, but I think so far my favorite book has been the first book of the first volume.

Happy Birthday, Fredi!

I am usually really demanding of actors. I mean, there are very few actors I really can believe.

I went to a CD store today at lunch (I had a really long break) and found that it was really fun to browse the shelves! It's the kind of fun people have forgotten can be fun, you know? Well, people my age, maybe.

Hmph. She sucks. There!
In the first video.

Hm... Maybe I should watch more of the videos. To tell you the truth, my impression of her acting skills was mainly formed from watching just the first one.

Hee. I was reading this article in The Economist about the Mark Foley scandal and found that they used the word "sucks". The Economist said "sucks"! This is way better than the time when I noticed they misspelled "Botswana".

Does this mean that this word is becoming more and more accepted?
