Your bravery knows no end Lou, I bet you left her with a do that was the envy of the neighbourhood!

I told her I was going into the business, and that all the ladies were going to line up around the block like I was Edward Scissorhands

  2. I am my own barber.  Kind of helps when you don't have much hair lol

Really, my son has been great, but without being in school there is an increase of not listening, back talk, snotty behavior, etc.

LOL wife wanted me to cut her hair and I am like 'No fucking way if I fuck it up you'll yell at me." Well, I did not fuck it up but she yelled at me the whole time anyways hahaha

  3. I was going to be the only guy in the office. Then in just a two days time my wife had covid like symptoms (she's fine now), work told me to operate from home for three weeks because of it and then Michigan went into full shutdown. When this started my wife and child were idle, but now the both of us are working from home and the young man is now having tele conferences for school and so scheduling all of that at once has been a colossal pain in the ass. I am ready to go back, and we are targeting May 18 (or maybe the 22nd) where it might just be me and the boss in the shop.

  4. Well, our lock down in MI will go another two weeks into May. Cases are flattening, and the governor used her common sense to allow people to buy gardening supplies, paint, hardware and some stores (hopefully the comic shop) can do curb side pick up. Motorized boating and golf are also allowed.

  5. We had a protest at the MI capitol last night. Pretty sure that does not follow social distancing. But I do not entirely agree with the severity of the Governor's orders. SHe mandates no paint supplies to be bought, no gardening supplies, etc. That is a bit much. If you want people to stay at home then give them things to do. I was at the market, and the hardware aisle hardly had anyone in them, while the grocery aisles were the hardest to maintain social distancing so I just do not get it (our markets over here have groceries, hardware, paint, toys, hell fucking guns in some of them, ammo, fishing equipment etc all under one roof)

  6. Oh sorry I had a few weeks built up (still was only like 2 books) plus I added an action figure. I had not been there in a while and I think they did get last week's books. Doubt they got this weeks

  7. One thing is we, as comic club members, are paying our current pull lists by phone, so that the shop has some kind of revenue stream, with the idea that if and when they reopen, we can pick up our stuff when the dust settles.

  8. Yeah man if my shop folds then I am out, maybe the odd trade here or there, if they still exist. Those dudes are cool and one of the last in town.

Fuck, even if we do get over this by the end of the month (spoilers: we won't), I do not even feel comfortable going to Motor City Con in mid May. I have not missed a con in...god damn I can't even remember.
