  1. If they'd caught that on CCTV it would be a youtube hit. Probably be a DC comic soon, .

    'When Constaneen inadvertently opens a portal from Smurf village to Gotham, help comes from unexpected quarters from Micheal knight and Johns ex girlfriend.'

  2. I lost interest in Fables a while ago, got the last two trades at the bottom of my 'to read' pile, they seem to constantly find their way to the bottom. With it coming to end an end I'll probably read them now.

  3. Really, well, OK, you guys convinced me to make some time to slog on through it. I just felt a little like I was just going through motions.

    It is a big buggy too, two of the missions have a fault in them already, one where you have to kill insects to collect stuff, and the stuff just don't drop; and another where you go looking for some contract killers' stash, the box won't open, but a sound file plays , complete with attacking mook noises, but nothing else happens.

    I played through the whole game several times and all the dlc and never encountered a single bug as far as I remember, atleast none that prevented me completing a quest. Is your console online? Might be a patch that you're missing there were a few.

  4. I have the all of Batman Incorporated lined up next. I do have the first 30 odd issues of Legends of the Dark Knight in floppies, will have to dig them out in a game of pick a long box (really must get around to sorting them all out one day)

  5. I've been on a bit of a Batman binge lately partially inspired by Mark and Rohan discussing Batman at length at the meet up and realising I hadn’t read much at all.

    I’ve re-read;

    Year One

    The Dark Knight returns

    Killing joke

    A Death in the Family

    And read for the first time;

    The Knightfall saga (all 3 massive volumes)

    Hush

    Long Halloween

    The man who Laughed

    The Black Casebook

    Battle for the Cowl

    Whatever happened to the Caped Crusader

    Grant Morrisons run – which I’m up to The return of Bruce Wayne

    Really enjoyed Morrisons run so far with the exception of Final Crisis (just too much going on off page and tie ins I don’t have). Hush was great and Knighfall was good at the start but kind of got a bit samey.

    So what next? Is the new 52 stuff any good? What do you recommend ? What should be avoided at all costs?

  6. It's because Dexter's all loved up, he forgot that you have to actually hide if you don't want to get spotted. I watched that scene thinking he wanted to be seen, ridiculous. It's a shame because with lasts weeks episode I thought it was getting better, but the clips of the upcoming episodes looked shit.

    I watched it immediately after BB too which just highlighted it's craptitude further. I think they'll all get on a plane in the final episode and the storm will take down the plane leaving a question mark on their survival.

    BB - Walts 'confession' didn't see that coming, brilliant tv how can it possibly get any better.

  7. I've been playing a lot of Defiance too, have you been watching the show John? I only stumbled upon the game as an online friend is an extra in the show (by the way he assures me the show gets better and better, and moves away from the monster of the week template).

    Quite enjoying the game, very easy to pick up and play for half an hour, nothing takes too long. It does however need a bit of work on the interface, inventory management is terrible.

  8. I've read some comments in various places online that claim this whole early DVD release thing is actually a publicity stunt by the BBC. Interesting idea.

    The fact that there doesn't seem to be a torrent of the episode anywhere that I could find would suggest that that is indeed the case. Obviously I only looked for research purposes.

  9. It was an absolute pleasure to meet some fellow forumites this weekend. Thanks very much Ade for arranging that walk, it was extremely interesting and has piqued my interest to discover more of the not so everyday London. I shall also more than likely revisit that pub again, the finest selection of ales I’ve ever seen outside of a beer festival, mighty tasty and on the walk back to the station I feel a tad alcoholic.

    It’s a shame that not more people could make it. Maybe next time, and I hope that’s soon.

    I shall now try and be more of a poster and less of a lurker.
