I managed to convince my family to change the plan for the day so I could go to the town where I get my comics. Turns out that my local comic shop had decided not to partake in comic book day as it's too expensive for them.

That must be from the extra scene at the end of the credits, the new scene that is not the extra scene in the european release. Not really fair that the US get an extra extra scene.

I loved it, I would have put it on a par with the first Ironman film until The Hulk [ Spoiler : sideways punched Thor ], it then became my favourite. I hope Joss Whedon directs the sequel(s), I'd also really like a Black Widow film, it wouldn't even need a plot just Scarett running around for 2 hours.

Since I finished the Malazan books in January I feel sort of free, much as I loved the books I just couldn't read them quickly or for that long in one sitting, The crippled God was a fine ending and tied up mostly everything and I did feel like I understood what had been going on for once by the end of it.

I'm really enjoying The First Law trilogy (reading it as a result of this thread), just started the third book. Say one thing for Joe Abercrombie say he writes good characters. I cried when [ Spoiler : Threetrees ] died, I hadn't realised I cared that much about him.

The key to big scores is keeping the score multiplier meter at x20 and just keeping the combo going, I do do the ground tricks to keep the combos going but invariably then launch myself into a tree or down a crevasse, crashing is basically my big problem.

The whole Ridernet function is very clever, I can see a lot of games using that in the future.

I'm really enjoying the game but I really suck at trick events, haven't managed to get a gold medal in any yet but I can ace the races on my first attempt most times.

The second episode of [GOT] season two was briefly available today on HBO GO in the Netherlands and Poland, but has since been removed. I reached out to HBO about the reports we had heard of these territories claiming they will be airing every episode of season two a week early and they confirmed that that will not happen. The episodes will continue to air in the US first and then on the foreign subsidiaries sometime thereafter.

That's good news, as I don't think I could have maintained my resistance to download for long. The only copies of episode 2 I saw available were all lacking subtitles on the Dothraki parts anyway.

Yep, was an all round excellent fianle, tied up all the current plot lines and left it with a hell of a cliff hanger.

At level 48 in Skyrim and completed all the main questlines, With full dragon armour double enchanted even on master difficulty it's too easy. It's a shame that to make the game fun I have to gimp myself by wearing stuff and wielding weapons I'm not best at.

I watched it, glad it's been renewed for another season, I don't care if it retreads the same ground season after season I still love it.

I honestly don't get how anyone got confused by The Hunger Games. What were the common complaints?

 

I watched The Muppets. I have no opinion whatsoever about it. I didn't watch The Muppets much as a kid, so it might be that. It was pleasant enough, but it didn't make a fan out of me.

 

But Chris Cooper raps, and that is good.

From what I've read elsewhere some people didn't really understand the whole setup of the districts and capital, also they didn't explain how the draw worked (as people can enter their names voluntarily to get food and fuel each year), and Katniss volunteering it wasn't really made clear that it was first time in district 12 that someone had and that it happened frequently in other districts. I imagine a lot of the complaints stem from the fact that it was young kids watching and they spent more time munching popcorn, sweets and texting on their phones than paying attention.

I've seen the Muppets film about 20 times now, it's not so good on the 20th viewing unfortunately my kids haven't worked that out yet.

The camera work in the first twenty minutes of The Hunger Games literally made me feel giddy, I either got used to it or it calmed down a bit. Having read the entire trilogy last week nothing confused me, but it clearly wasn't the case for the numpty sitting behind me who had to have a running comentary from his other half along the lines of 'well in the book...' every 30 seconds. Apart from them trying to mar my enjoyment of the film I thought it was a fantastic adaptation and Jennifer Lawrence is yum.

I posted that before I'd watched (the awesome) season finale. The first 20 minutes made up for all the meandering slow bits of the previous episodes. Pretty clear where the whole of the next season is going to be then.

Well after that episode I'm sold on the new threesome. Apart from The walking dead it's the only thing on at the moment worth watching.

Are we supposed to know the guy in the trailer for next weeks episode, can't remember him if we are.

I pre-ordered SSX this morning, don't normally bother pre-ordering games but I watched a gameplay trailer and it looks like a retun to the form of SSX Tricky and SSX 3, rather than the run of the mill SSX on tour.

Well the new episode was meandering away at a pretty slow pace until the last ten minutes, great final scene, more like that please.

I'm 40% (according to my Kindle) of the way through The Crippled God, it gets into the action a lot quicker than the preceeding couple of books. As much as I've enjoyed the series, it's been a real chore reading them, they just seem to take so long to read compared to other books. I have a rather large stack of 'to read' books as a result of all things Malaz.

The last few dungeons of the theives guild questline you can't take your companion with you. Just discovered that he was actually doing a lot of the damage. Fireing two handed fireballs just isn't enough against a lot of foes now so need to switch to bound bow and run away as if they get in close my mage robes don't exactly take many hits before I die.

I've started lagging now if I play for more than an hour, hope they hurry up with the patch.
