I actually preferred The blind banker to The Hound of the Baskervilles, but both of those episodes were far inferior to the other four. First episode of the second series would be way up there in my list of favourite tv episodes ever.

Skyrim it is then.
Though I use a PS3. Is there any rumblings of a future non-buggy version?
I'm on the PS3 and played for 80 hours, only bug I've had so far was backward flying dragons which was fixed with the latest patch.
Took a break from Skyrim for the last few days and went back to Dead Island to finish it, made me realise just how detailed the graphics are in Skyrim.

I didn't enjoy that Christmas special at all, my least favourite Moffat episode by far.

Thought the season finale of American Horror Story was a tiny bit of a letdown after the previous two great episodes. I was just reading that Season 2 will be a totally new story in a new house, some cast members will be returning but playing completely different characters.

Regarding your spoiler, I think that's a distinct possibility. Thought the zombie in the chemist was great when it got back up with it's head hanging off. I really wish they weren't having this big break after the next episode, and from what I've read in the comic thread about the last several months issues the next trade isn't going to impress much.

Here's a quote from an interview with Vince Gilligan regarding the season finale..
"Q: I have to say that this season finale almost felt like a series finale, with all of the story lines that it appears to wrap up. Was that by design?
A: That is on purpose. We weren’t sure that we would have a fifth season when we were plotting out the end of Season 4. So we wanted to make the end of Season 4 as satisfying and as complete as possible, not knowing what the future would hold. Having said that, there are a couple of big, outstanding questions still in play. But I agree with you, if the show had not gone on past the end of Season 4 – although I’m very happy to say that it indeed will – but if it weren’t to go forward, I think I could be satisfied on some level, by that episode. "
Plenty of ways it could go from here, wouldn't even begin to guess what they'll do though.
Second episode of Dexter was rather dull I thought. I seem to recall last season took a good few episodes before it was any good.

That first one is exactly how I'll picture Karsa on Havok from now on.

Toll the Hounds is available as an audio book now. I acquired it to listen to on a long car journey and it's not bad at all. Very strange hearing the way some of the names are pronounced, I wonder if they ask the author on the proper pronunciation or if they leave it upto the narrators discretion.
It's all kicking off now in the last few hundred pages. Good stuff.
Why are there no smilies with massive swords.

Oh good, I'm on page 750 so not long to go!

I'm really struggling with Toll the Hounds, I'm just over half way through it and not a great deal has actually happened. I'm sure it will pick up in the latter half, but it's definately been my least favourite of the series so far. Are the last two books better?

I hope that Luther and the new series of Breaking Bad will be able to fill the mahoosive hole that Game of Thrones ending next week will leave. I'm really glad that I haven't read the books as the twists and turns and shocks are what really make it above and beyond the norm.

Not usually my cup of tea, but at 28 seconds that's my wife and daughter, getting their 5 seconds of fame.

I've watched all the UK version of Skins, primarily as I know one of the writers. The first 2 series with the original cast are quite good, the 3rd and 4th series (whole new cast) wasn't quite as good and series 5 wasn't good at all. But then it's not really aimed at my age group.

Another fantastic episode of Community this week. I was skeptical when I heard they were doing another Paintball episode but my doubts were unfounded.
Also, Alison Brie is way hot.
I concur on both points, especially the second one.

Speaking of Mrs. Pond, she is really starting to irritate the hell out of me, despite her incredible hotness. She continually treats Rory like shit. A guy who would do anything for her, including protecting her for 2,000 years while she was in the Pandorica, deserves a lot more love and respect. Rory, buddy, it may be time to see a lawyer.
And an interesting twist there at the end. Hmmmm
Amy acts like that because in reality she wants to be with me, something like that anyway.

I'm glad I'm 39 and not 10 years old, I don't think I'd have slept for a couple of months after those scenes in the orphanage, that has to be the scariest episode ever. That ending was totally unexpected.

All the funny bits of Your Highness are in the trailer the only other bit worth seeing is here

Looking forward to this, being a big fan of the original films. Hated Tim Burtons remake, but this one looks promising, good fx in the trailer.

Anyone been watching No Ordinary Family? The new show about a family that gains superpowers? If so, any views to offer up?
I've watched the first 3 episodes, it's not bad but it's not that great either. Not as good as the first season of Heroes but better than rest of Heroes. It's just strange seeing Micheal Chiklis doing anything but Vic.
I stuck with this despite the poor start, it's not been fantastic but the characters have all grown on me and the potential for interesting plot developments has left me feeling rather sad that it almost definitely wont get a second season. It certainly got better as it progressed balancing the drama and comedy and even getting slightly darker. The effects were pretty good too. Haven't seen the finale yet so I don't know how much of a cliffhanger it ends on, if at all.
On a different note, anyone watch Camelot?

I just had a look at some patch notes (for 1.4) and there doesn't seem to be any mention of Johns particular problem. Might not be a complete list or I might have missed it. I read them here
