I felt like a massive weight was taken off my shoulders when I finally finished the Malazan books. As much as I enjoyed them, they also seemed to sap my desire to pick up the books and actually read them. Since finishing them I've gone back to my normal 2-3 books a month rather than 3ish Malazan books a year!
Looking forward to this coming out this coming week,

Cloud Atlas isn't coming out in the UK till February, surely by then everyone who really wants to see it here will have pirated it.

I've got a copy of China Mieville's new novel, Railsea.
It's actually a young-adult novel, which I didn't realize at the time, but that's ok.
It seems to be a fantasy novel, but as you read further, there are hints that it may be a post-apocalyptic world, where the remaining inhabitants have come to deal with and accept a total collapse. Or, nearly total; as the name implies, there is an elaborate length of myriad railroads going seemingly nowhere, in all directions.
Playing upon the fact that many people probably ask him if he's related, the plot is loosely based around Herman Melville's Moby Dick.
So, another strange world, but one maybe not so completely foreign to our own in the end.
I started reading that yesterday, very short chapters. Enjoying it so far (read about 1/3), I didn't really like the last Mieville I read which was Kraken. Anyway back to the hunt for the custard coloured mole.

I completely finished every aspect of Borderlands 2, it was fantastic, but some more multiplayer action would have been good though. One thing I found however, was when I played co-op with my flatmate at the time, is we would always fight for the loot, and it came a bit nasty between us haha, cause we weren't very sharing! The guns you have by the end of the game though, amazing... (and I could have had more if I had of kept playing and playing to unlock them. I expect that there will be a lot of DLC for borderlands 2 eventually...
I thought it was supposed to take at least 58 hours to complete the main quest, did you get an early copy?

Kate Middleton is an anagram of Naked tit model.

I read somewhere that 'Clara' was just the code name for the new companion and was actually just an acronym of Companion Lady After Rory Amy, probably a load of tosh but I recall they did something similar when Karen joined the cast.

I love their expressions. Dressed like Princesses, dying to shoot everything up.
I also love this. A lot.
http://dog-shaming.com/archive
You would think I might not, because it sort of claims to "shame" dogs, and actually, dogs rule.
But that they have a sense of honour; and that they weigh that sense by how they stick with their people, and do good deeds for their people, or fall short of their honour and do sneaky naughty things?.
That is the whole thing about why dogs rock, right there. Cats would never even notice that you caught them out.
Also, some of the people put the shaming sign there, and the dogs is sitting there going,
 "Nope, not me, I am PROUD I shit on the cat while he was sleeping"
I'm glad that sites not been going longer than a month, I'd sit here all morning laughing at them.
This has some quite amusing pictures Mo Farrah running away from things

I think it was more Walts speech about no one else could know that made Todd do it.
As to your question Mickey Eye, I hear the bad kids are using extratorrent and eztv for anything tv related.

I read the first issue when it was one of the Free Comic Day issues 2 or 3 yrs ago. It made me pick up the first trade but I never followed it after that. Besides those four first, how many trade volumes does it have? I could look myself, but....porn....
There are four trades currently, the fifth is coming soon, I think, and then the series will finish with the sixth, AFAIK.
The last trade has actually been out for a few weeks. Very good it is too, wraps everything up nicely. I think I read somewhere that there are plans for a number of one off specials that visit the house in the past and future.

Are you guys on the PS3 or 360, I'm on the PS3 for SSX.
-
Add me 'gregious' for some more easily beatable SSX scores!
I need a reason to start playing again.
-
I've read all of it, very much enjoyed it too. It's a shame the tv pilot didn't get picked up, looks very faithful to the comic with good casting

There is an excellent fan made cut of Dune, not sure where you'd find it at the moment though.
-
Yes and no, it's the worst of the three. They don't capture the humour of the comics at all, it just doesn't really work on screen.

How do you embed a youtube clip on here, I've tried various ways and it never seems to work.
Edit - never mind, How do you delete a thread you started?

Don't ask me why I appear to be scanning an orange, just accept that that is what I am doing.

Looks to me like the group of people on the other side of the room are waiting expectantly for the orange to appear infront of them after you zap it with you matter transporter gun.

I watched Iron sky last night. It started off Ok for the first few minutes anyway. After 30 minutes I was thinking it might be so bad that it's actually good, but after another 10 minutes I couldn't watch it anymore. It really is rubbish the trailer is better than the film.

I can't see them being that different, the dungeons I went through although each one was different style , they were clearly made out of sections of floorplan (a bit like D&D floorplans on cardboard that you could jigsaw together randomly). I have been told on another forum that the difficulty does increase from the end of Act 2. So maybe I'll buy it when I upgrade my PC to something that can play it at maximum settings rather than minimum, seeing as that will probably be about 18 years time when my kids have left home and I have money again it'll probably be quite cheap!
I've just been given a copy of Mass Effect 2 anyway which I've yet to play so I'm sorted for something to play for now.

Just killed the Skeleton King in Diablo 3 (starter edition), which is the end for me. Not interesting enough to keep playing, I didn't die once, I don't think I even nearly died, it's just way to easy and just mindless clicking. I'm sure on the harder difficulties it's more fun but I don't want to replay stuff I've already done to be slightly challenged. Glad it didn't cost me anything.
-
If anyone has a spare guest code for Diablo 3, I'd love to give it a go but not sure my pc is up to it. My graphics card is literally the one below the minumum recommended spec so don't really want to shell out the cash if it plays like crap.

I got a cheap copy of Fallout 3. I have had a few laughs over how utterly bleak its world view is, but am bored of it after just 5 and a half hours. Is it worth persevering?
Fallout 3 was one of my favourite games ever so I'd say it is worth carrying on, the only thing I really didn't like about it was the travelling around the subway, kept getting lost as it all looked to samey. The VATS style of combat appeals to me as I've never been that great at traditional FPS style combat.

Anyone else watching the New American Horror Story? First 2 episodes have been great, and they've done it again with the opening credits and made them the scariest bit of the show.
