  1. The Prestige? Really? Given your other tastes, I'm a little surprised. As much as I thought it was a well-crafted film, I found the two protagonists so thoroughly unlikeable, and the source of their competition so trivial, that I couldn't engage in the film.

See, I liked the fact that the protagonists were unlikable, and part of the point of the movie was that their obsession to be the best was over such trivial things.

  2. I have the plush of Secret Agent and the Medium Size Cthulhu and I felt complete. But now that I've seen the Hound of Tindalos, the Itaqua, the Gugs, the night gaunt and Nyarlathotep... I think my bed will end up looking like a 14 year old Spice Girl wannabe -saving distances.

I want the Necronomicon pillow like you-don't-even-know!

  3. 'When I die, Crom shall ask me the Riddle of Steel...'

 because Tony B aint here to do it.

Damn! I'm gone for a day and I miss that! Crom laughs at me from his mountain...

*ADRIAN- Delete this sometime. I am drunk.

Nice avatar, Tony. Did you just discover the awesomeness that is Black Books?

  4. I screwed up my exam.

And after watching Satc, its certain that im not only a lazy cow, but also not on the level i put me on in English imaginary.

I think this is one of the worst days of my life.

Hey, as I said, your English is pretty good (better than some of the native speakers who come in here from time to time). Can you retake the exam or anything?

EDIT: I wrote this before reading what the Question had to say. I guess great minds think alike, and so does mine!

  5. Im currently quite depsressed because aside all the effort i put in honing my English skills and being able to talk clearly and fluently i think i dont do well.

Interpreting is fun but it always pulls me down how atrocious i am in oral communication. I always get excited, my voice gets thin, i fuck up pronounciation and stutter.

It doesnt help much that i have an exam in a week with a teacher who doesnt accept "Are you kidding me?" as genuine English expression.

I don't know if this improves your mood, but I've noticed that your written English has improved by leaps and bounds since you started here, and it was never all that bad to begin with.

  6. Deb was a twit.

To be fair, that was true in the TV show, too.

Yeah, but it's even more true in the book. She's pretty helpless. At least, in the show, she comes up with her copycat theory.

Besides the reading above, I'm back to reading A Scanner Darkly, as Borders got 2 more copies.

I have read the following H.P. Lovecraft stories in the past week:

    "The Statement of Randolph Carter"

    "The Music of Erich Zann"

    "The Horror at Red Hook"

    "The Call of Cthulhu" (again)

    "The Thing on the Doorstep"

    "The Haunter of the Dark"

And I'm currently reading "The Shadow over Innsmouth"

  7. Just started the first Dexter book . So far it's spot on with the show .

Finished the first Dexter book. It really sucks.

Everyone was 2 dimensional, which makes sense but is boring. Rita's switch from "don't touch me" to "let's do...THAT" was not believable. Deb was a twit. LaGuardia was a twit. Angel's only purpose was to crouch on the ground. Doakes was just an Angry Black Man. The killer makes his/her entrance in a very deus-ex machina sprt of way. The ending was just plain lame.

  8. er, Jas - you dont have to stop working out just because

do you? except for the knee brace. i know how that feels....

but cant you get one of those rubber thingy?

Yup. I bought a new one, as well as some pants and shoes...paid $25 all together. Sometimes, just sometimes, I love Walmart. Just don't tell anyone.
