To be honest, I kind of want to see more of John interfering with mainstream forces of the DCu.

 

It's awesome to see John fighting off Demons, both metaphorically and real. But it just feels like a really depressing Supernatural where he only fights the same thing over and over. I know that sounds dumb but it's just imo.

 

 

I feel like there's just more he could fight. It was interesting how John knew about the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Like, how could he have known something like that when that crossover storyline only involved cosmic forces and not the supernatural?

 

I'm not saying he should be Reed Richards. I think mysticism could be involved with the cosmos somehow.

batman: swoops in ,kick the robber's asses and saves hostages

 

constantine: talks a security guard into distracting the robbers and being a hero long enough for the police to arrive and uses an illusion spell to make off with some of the money himself

 

.If he's feeling charitable,he could cast an illusion spell,sneak the rest of the people out the side door and leave the bank robbers standing there looking stupid...and still have at least a stack of bills in his coat.

It has to be done in a natural manner like the pre-Vertigo years (85-92). Otherwise it'll come out like The New 52 and Search for Swamp Thing in terms of forced and hackneyed

 

Yeah! Also, I have this fantasy where there's this big storyline that involves the crisis, cosmos, mystics, and John.

an anime is what it needs! the shit i've seen in anime! they could outright do a hellblazer anime and pull it off .seriously. but yeadh i agree there will be some more japanese culture...and john would be less subtle with his bisexual tendencies.a LOT of anime have blink-and-you-might-miss gay moments with characters of both genders and flirting with the same sex and nobody bats an eye! americans need to learn to do this! there are lgbt characters all over anime yet no one in japan seems to make a big deal.usually the quality of anime is what's embraced and a lil' ship teasin' from the same sex (see yaoi and yuri) is usually welcomed.

Aslo,building a univers.muiltiverse / writing a book that takes place in a world where science fantasy elements are blended with reality...key point one of the protagonists is a were cat who's broke and having bad luck with 'real jobs' until she runs across some dirty money,a police officer gets suspended after taking a headshot and being fed human blood to become a full blown vampire instead of only halfway there,angel of vengeance looks like a yakuza member and tempts people's souls for vengeance ,but has a day job. Trynna blend fantastic with mundane.Think I may have gotten it.

 

I'm also working on writing scripts (particular comic book scripts) and am in need of an artist...but alas poverty is in the way and I had like two people bail on me.Oh well...also I got this black cat who I suspect may be of questionable nature.

AMC brought a 50% share of BBC America earlier this year and let it be known they are looking to create more original content after the success of Orphan Black. With a British lead and genre following that would fit in alongside it's current show line up, I think Constantine would be a good fit.

 

YES. AMC is known for having good stuff...alas ,there is hope.But if Constantine were to hit AMC,they'd have to make it as gritty as we'd expect from something based off Hellblazer. Oh yea,that was the reason it annoyed me at first!

 

I mean,you know how some shows got a dirty realistic feel (breaking bad,better call saul,some moments of supernatural,the walking dead).I was thinking on it and that was kinda it.Hellblazer has been known for that feel and for mundane situations to get really fucking weird.And that is what that damn Constantine comic lacked too.Glad that's getting relaunched.But still...I wonder what made DC suddenly wanna grab ol' Conjob and throw him at the spotlight?

You know, if they could get John right, fuck all those other characters, but if they use Keanu again, then fuck Del Torro. John Constantine is the deal make or breaker there for me.
