The art is horrendous I just gotta say. I mean I don't wanna be judgmental or anything, but the art just looks strange. I didn't bother reading the actual comic, but I basically saw John be possessed by a girl and acting like an absolute dumbass everywhere he went. HOW the hell can you get on a plane acting like that and NOT be questioned by officials? At that point I just closed the comic after that. And then there's just...the talking. So much and all going no where...again. CTH feels so strange and just doesn't have anything close to HB to me anymore. I can't say I'll be going on with being a John Constantine fan if THIS is what's happening to him. I hope the Rebirth fixes things for me cause...this is just sad.
actually,I like the art for that issue-- I just don't evern read this mess anymore.I drop by out of curiousity

this is funny, and know everyone but the first guy.dafuq is that?
-
he did...it was so weird,i read it last years so i remember this
-
that is way too much penis on wheels for john
yup...kinda phallic

Emphasis on the regret, eh?
I don't even remember the plot of Chas:The Knowledge. Maybe the story was fine, I was thinking about the portrayal of John Constantine. Wherein, Oliver, for some god awful reason, decided that John Constantine would work as a stand-in for Charlie Sheen. That's the real fear of Oliver taking over a John Constantine comic. Not if he can write a good story, Oliver is capable of that, but to make sure he doesn't write such a totally wrong depiction of John Constantine's character, ever again.
i agree so very much.trying to hide my fears and hope for the best

its pretty cool ,if you can ignore all the historical innacuracy

oh god...it looks like the one from constantine:The Hellblazer
but having taken a read myself...he was apparantly a double agent/undercover for whatever reason. Judging by what happens next issue,it makes sense that he would actually do that.
guess they didn't look twice cuz he fit their tall.blonde hair, blue eyes ideal.
have to wonder how long he was acting as an agent though?
can he use any of their weapons? can he throw down.
also you can NOT tell me this isn't cute. It's wrong, but it's cute

Hey! what do you know, according to Wikipedia, James Tynion IV is a bisexual male!
I guess that shows that an openly gay writer is not the answer to JC's woes.
Plus, it proves in reality, Tynion is never the answer to anything.
I'm waiting for DC's announcement that Judd Winnick will be co-writing The Hellblazer with Oliver....
How old is Simon Oliver? his Wikipedia page says he was born in 1991. I have my doubts about that. He was hanging around on this Forum back when he was writing Chas, back around 2005, and he never came across as a 14 year old in our discussions with him.
hm...well that explains why Tynion was so comfortable with JC being queer..i find that and georgianna to be the only pluses i can think of for the mess that just occurred.
but it did not make me like this story.
as for his age...
that would only make him one year older than me...? dunno if that's true,and...and how long has this forum been around?

good.
I feel safe saying that i feel the same

constantine and pete wisdom would either be best buds or hate each other--if he's still alive...did wisdom bite the bullet yet?
Nope, he just vanished mid plot: the rest of the comic kept going, but he stopped. He is a Warren Ellis character, after all...
this doesn't even surprise me.that is saying something about the state of American comics (the big 2),isn't it?

constantine and pete wisdom would either be best buds or hate each other--if he's still alive...did wisdom bite the bullet yet? don't keep up with cannon

Both parties are 'guilty' of that, really, I mean Marvel have never really been too bothered about continuity or at least maintaining any kind of status quo for more than 6 months.
this is why i kinda prescribe to the marvel MCU at this point.did try to check out brubaker's winter soldier.had some good stuff but I am too far gone from the continuity

Try looking up some other stuff on that site. The entry for Britain is pretty funny.
oh yeah...love that site ,it's rediculous

dunno if i can work for marvel now, lost track of the main cannon.I'm more caught up on the dcu though

YESonly time it was rightI liked the incarnation of Constantine on the Injustice prequel comic. He's still Hellblazer even next to Superman, and I've always liked the idea of John in a cape story.
It's why I've always favored Moore's Constantine.

Last i checked DC was only looking for artists and nonew writers.I think they need to change that
Constantine - The Heckblazer #11-Deadman for a Dead Book
in Other Constantinian Comics

in all honesty,I am starting to wonder if they should maybe lay constantine down for awhile.I know they're gonna reboot it,but I just don't know what's gonna happen.we may just have to retreat back to hellblazer--like I was doing,re-reading old issues and all.
