but really,if fans are the ones reading it,how about ASKING US what we wanna do with constantine instead of taking wild guesses and all that? no really,it makes sense.I would totally get together with some fellow fans and drop an issue one worth gold on their desk if I could.But no...

 

The problem is that people keep misinterpreting every aspect of the character and the world and this is what we get.I also believe that the sad truth that Constatine's character as a hole is an archtype from yester year and would need somebody who is an actual Hellblazer fan to break it down and get down to the core of what the character is.

 

I personally did NOT like this new Constantine or the one from JLD.The One from the Constantine show was closer,the one from the 2005 was excellent---but not our John,he was good in his own right cuz nick necro was ftw (actually no,just re-read jld and he was a whiny bitch but it didn't have to be that way.I do thing Keanu reeves is awesome though)

the thing is this:the public is sick of the madness and bucky is thefall guy; the feds look like they did a good thing killing him (or conversy hostaging him away and using him like hydra did),what's left of hydra gets to the heat off their asses,tony gets to look like a good guy after fucking up with ultron.it's a good thing for everyone...besides,nobody missed him for decades and buck's a dead man walking.kill him and cover up,right?

 

except captain america, the original supersoldier happens to be his boyfriend...and possibly the strongest man in the world in mcu (who is human...human)from the feds pov,i would take theeasy option and juist kill off winter,saying he's irredeemable to make the hydra thing go away.but then,what to do about a rogue captain america? what lie can they spin on this? how can they twist words after he so clearly saved the day on age of ultron and the first avengers?

 

i feel bad for the guy who has to do this paperwork.

 

here's the deal; supers should have the choice to go federal or be mercs,but no vigilante activity...but what about people who just happen to have powers? what if I have ice powers and useit to make ice sculptures...why the hell should i be a federal agent if i don't want to?! how do they know caps might not wanna retire,huh?

Hope I'm not dissointed.the constantine series was okay but thats it.i think my fave episodes were the devil's vynil,non asylum and that one where john possessed himself with a demon.excited to see matt ryan as constantine though.did an awesome job.it was really everythong else that threw me off

The political allegory is so heavy-handed. Not that it's wrong to have tackled the policies of W. Bush and the "war on terror" so strongly at the time. The actual comic wasn't very good though, so it might be best that it doesn't matter much.

 

Like others have said, it'd have to be too involved if it got in to every element that the comic used....lots of new heroes for the movie-verse, and etc.

As others have said, Civil War also does really ruin any chance of Iron Man ever being sympathetic again, which would hurt the continuing movie franchise. In the comics, they just waved their hands and moved on, without Iron Man even needing to find redemption for his actions. That's even worse, if you're just going to ignore the actions of your character.

one of the reasons i can't deal with the comic verse iron man.total d-bag on many ocassions.but he was pretty much right with his side on the civil war. Thisntime though in movie verse,its like bucky,s a litwral fall guy to save everyonecsses and an answer to everything wrong with their verse.probably gonna cover up the peisoner of war thing and the fact that he was partially a homegrown terrorist...thats the worst kind,threats in your own backyard.Also...the comic was so overrated

Just watching for lulz...and oddly ,I find myself looking at it for penguin more than anything.

As for others i like ,code geass and full metal alchemist...these are anime dosguised as shonen anime ,but much more going on...also rahxephon,like early 2000's.hmm...yrynna see what else.i love cow boy bebop,one of the best.ever and black butler was good..deathnote,though everyone has watched that.

See?i be dodgin' shonen anime like neo dodgin ' bullets...I will say I definatley liked ninja scroll.one of my favorites. I have a twisted love afair with prject a-ko cause I'm amazed at how much ass these girls kicked and it was fun.The only shonen anime i actively watch is kill la kill cuz it's awesome (probably not a person,s cup of tea).i do like hellaing.i prefer less kid oriented stuff. As a suggestion,watch shigurui as a mpre adult anime. I also have a distate for shojo as a whole,barring the 90's classic revolutionary girl utena...which is essentially a morbid love story with crazy imagery and perfe t art.though be warned the series and apmovies are au of one another. I agree...as of late anime has been dring me up the wall with the annoying adolescent target audience and shameless pandering.but thwre are some treasures

I haven't read the comic, but isn't this a lot less political than that? Here it seems like Cap's main motivation is just personal, it's all about Bucky. While a lot of the other stuff in the trailer looks cool, that kinda bugs me.

 

I thought the storyline was shit, so I'm blind to any nuance the event might have held, but Cap's motivation was that that the pro-registration side were off the deep end, nigh cartoonishly so.

 

Iron Man is Marvel's biggest draw so they can't have him being the guy who builds a gulag and orchestrates a war with Atlantis, so they make it about Bucky

 

TBH if they are making a Civil War movie (they shouldn't though), 'I'll stand with my friend gainst all these trifling bitches' is better than 'super-powered people ought do what they like'

Agreed.it is more relatable and in the current mcu it fits better.this is why it is a captain america movie instead of a standalone or an avengers movie.So..sam/steve/bucky or sam/steve/bucky/nat?

HoW does clark kent hide heat vision from his doctor ?okay off topic.but I like the personal feeling of the mcu much better.this is why the iron man ,thor and captain america movies are better than the avengers

for zatanna, i would cast eva green. shit i would cast eva green for almost everything , seeing her in penny dreadful, she could totally nail the part. anyways i get your point, there is a disturbing lack of black folks and black women even more so (see here). and yes you are right, her backstory is so obscure, that you could easily change it for this purpose. the thing is i don't want to have another disaster that was shia as chas chandler . btw her father is called giovanni, if that is not one italian name, i have never seen one. when i said white as bleach, i had her appearance in books of magic in mind (the four parter from gaiman), but you are right in other versions she looks pretty tan (although some of us white folks can be pretty tan, mostly depending on if its summer or winter )

 

regarding black dc superheros: may i introduce you to john stewart a.k.a. the best green lantern (and the only one that rocks this green/black onesie-thingy, that the corps calls a uniform). amanda waller is black and a woman and a fucking powerhouse from tip to toes.

That is true. Amanda waller is everything.And john stewart to the general public is THE green lantern.that is part of the reaon the movie failed.he is my favorite green lantern next to sinestro before he went bad. (and i can see why u would hate nick necromi am just hung up on the fact he could hav been a decent character but ended up being an utter wuss who was blonded by thirst and other things...that is all i have to say about that.i feel the same about bar toor (barth allen kid flash nu52).both him and nick could have been good characters bu were misses.i stand by that.But more importantly ethnic characters.i forgot to mention that in marvel mcu nick fury is black.in the so ics he was white.it had such aprofound affet that they made nick fury black in the main marvel comic verse via making him. Iracial and the original nick fury's son.this worked perfectly.If it works out,we may start seeing a biracial zatanna roaming around and ahe will be loved.hell...the only thing you need to do to her character design is make her hair coiled or tightly waved.in her current incarnation that is literally it.

Zatanna kinda varied in color.but going by the pail didni zatanna run,she was pretty dark.also on the batman cartoon when she showed up and on young justice zatanna was in fact tan and half italian...her mother wasn't even human homo magi .and once in the comic her hair was wavy,she was in casual dress.not a stretch for her to be a mixed race woman with wavy hair and tan skin.it isn't.we know she is italian because they said so.she could easily be latina with her looks as well.rarely does she appear pale,few artists.and not just that,her facial features (especially her moith and face shape) are ambiguous.her nose too...just sayin...zatanna could be any damn race a person feels like it.And as far as mixed people ,I kenw a guy with blonde hair,blue eyes,red lips and light tan skin (about zatanna's color actually) who could have passed if he wanted too.also knew a chick pale ,red hair and green eyes with wavy hair that was half black.actually..point is mixed people ca. Look many ways and i have seen some who looked like her.hell,madame xanadu could be mixed race and if you change constantine, hair ...he could and made him as tan as he appears in certain issues ...he can easily be a mixed race person as well.(though that would be weird.I kinda like conjob to stay as he is.besides he has a mixed daughter in injustice,there is.
