  1. You miss my point: Ford is the worst thing in Blade Runner because he's a shitty actor (or at least was back then). Hasn't Ridley Scott gone on record a few times saying that he wished that he'd cast somebody else in that part?

This however, is more a matter of opinion than objectivity, which makes applying right/wrong judgements tricky. (Unlike some Australian's media profile or the Telegraph still being a broadsheet.)

It wasn't his fault, he was programmed that way.

  2. Oh, that's ok then. I just saw on another forum a mass debate on the final few seconds, where some people think that he didn't do what he set out to do as he appeared to move, where it's clear that the camera moves to give the POV shot.

I prefer Breaking Bad to The Wire.

It was good to see that it's been renewed for a 4th season, but also good to know that the writer/creator wants to establish an end date for the show to give it the ending it deserves.

  3. I loved EVERYTHING about the season finale of Breaking Bad, from the face to face at the beginning to the "betrayal" at the end.

Faced with someone about to shoot you in the face, is it required to tell them "You don't have to do this"?

    Absolutely brilliant.

Last night's episode of Boondocks was one of its best episodes in its 3 seasons.

What do you mean by betrayal at the end? Who betrayed who?

  4. I've got quite a few ideas about where the season arc is going to take us, some of them undoubtedly wrong - but one scene, in particular, jumped out at me. Unless the production team, and Moffat in particular, are a lot less on-the-ball than I think they are, then at least one seemingly-minor scene in this episode is going to play into the finale in a big, big way, because I think we saw more than one Doctor here - or at least, the same Doctor at two different points in his timestream. If I'm right about that, then a couple of other seemingly-minor things from previous episodes may well be a lot more significant than they first appeared, too. I'll elaborate later, but in the meantime I'm curious to see if anyone else spotted the scene I'm talking about.

Was the scene you're talking about in the forest, with the [ Spoiler : Doctors Jacket suddenly being back on ]

  5. Anyone been to see Avatar yet?. Or Sherlock Holmes, for that matter?.

Feel like treating myself, think I will go see Holmes, haven't been tempted to see a movie for ages, think the last I saw was 300 maybe.

I went to see Avatar last week, it looks amazing in 3D and is undoubtedly the finest CGI and 3D effects so far, however the story is a bit poo, it's basically Dances with Wolves on a beautiful alien planet. The cliche ridden plot shouldn't put you off from seeing it at the cinema in 3D though as it really is an incredible visual experience.

  6. My wife had our baby son yesterday. He was so happy to come into the world, with his first almighty cry he ruptured one of his lungs, he's doing ok now and will hopefully be coming off the ventilator tomorrow and we'll be able to hold him. :boogie:

  7. I enjoyed it, good fun. I even liked Lee Evans and I hate Lee Evans.

That's because when Lee Evans isn't actually being himself he can be quite funny. I hate him as a comedian as he's done the same stand up routine since he started out.

  8. Seriously, I'm the only one who saw it??? What, have you all got lives or something?

I watched it, and thought it was a good fun episode. I think Michelle Ryan would make a good long time companion, she's certainly a lot kinder on the eye than Catherine Tate.
