The first episode of the new 3 part Red Dwarf was not good at all. Even when the last few series had deteriorated to the level they did you'd at least expect to laugh once or twice. Very dissapointing considering they've had so long to write the new episodes.

Season finale of Terminator on the other hand, was fantastic, really hope it gets renewed but it looks very unlikely. Hopefully the new film will invigorate interest in the whole Terminator franchise and rocket DVD sales of the series. leading to a third season.

I missed most of the second half of it, I was laughing so much after the intercom bit.

Some people have too much time on their hands, very well done though.

Here's to one of the best shows on TV in a long time.

Personally I think I'd have preferred to see Adama wake up at the end and say "oh, it was all a dream", the explanation for basically anything that they hadn't answered they did give was utter cheese.

I was just looking at the original score album, it has Tyler Bates listed as the artist on all the tracks including Mozarts Requiem. I wonder how Mozart would have felt about that - and would he have liked the film.

I quite enjoyed the film, I thought the changed end was ok but I think I'd have preferred the squid.

That last episode was utter garbage, they managed to slot in about 2 minutes of story into 45 minutes of dross. Wasn't exactly the build up to a stunning 3 hour finale I was hoping for. I read somewhere that the cast were all in tears when they read the final scripts, I'm guessing now it was with disappointment at just how shit it all went,

Having recently watched Serenity and enjoyed it a lot more than Buffy's endless smug sneering at the genre Wheedon's slumming in, can I ask if Firefly was as good?

Firefly was better than Serenity. There are a couple of weaker episodes but generally each episode I found better than the film.

Dollhouse the new Whedon offering has so far been by far the worst thing he's done, I'll give it a few more episodes but so far not so good.

I think I might give this a go when it comes out, it's the original book with new Zombie mayhem added.

Watched The Wrestler last night, was pretty underwhelmed.

 

Felt like Aronofsky-lite. Still solid though, and some of the best casting I've ever seen done. 7.8/10

Nope I hate them, their one song that they rerelease over and over again, drives me to the point of breaking radios. It is a slightly over the top dislike but it shall never be recanted.

I would mention my dislike of all things Bruce Springsteen, but I fear Mark would hunt me down and kill me.

I watched Zack and Miri make a porno last night, and didn't find it half as funny as thought I was going to. I had just seen Eddie Izzard live though so I may have laughed myself out.

The "be careful when you pull out" scene did have me on the floor laughing - disgusting as it was.

Any UK types who happened to watch Survivors - how was he in that?

He didn't really play a massive part in episode 1, but he was good in his bit. He plays Greg which was one of the main parts in the original 70's series, all though this remake has differed a fair bit all ready, so how big his role will be is anyones guess.

In Bruges what an absolute gem of a film. Great script, acting and beautifully filmed. I urge anyone who hasn't seen it to watch it immediately.

This isn't the kind of thing I'd usually listen to, but they used my LED dance floor in the video, so I was there while they made it and subsequently heard the song about 500 times.

It was a nightmare constructing it as the whole thing had to revolve. The video gets better when the colour kicks in on the dancefloor, the just white light patterns were too washed out by the studio lights in my opinion.
