  1. Imagine the closet where he throws all of his "HIP BRAND NEW SPIDEY AS YOU'VE NEVER SEEN HIM BEFORE" costumes.

It'd br filled with the black suit, the Spider-Armour, this one in a couple of months, and probably a few of Ben Reilly's.

Oh yeah, and all those 'Slingers' ones that he had when he went through that identity crisis. Actually, they got donated to wannabe superheroes though, didn't they?

I can't think of any superhero who has gone through as many costume changes as Spidey. Its like he's presenting the academy awards or something.

Jay's right. It cheapens the whole thing.

  2. Well with Crisis on Infinite Earths finished, I kinda got my eye on a few more DC trades, is Zero Hour any good? What about Identity Crisis? I'm basically looking for those stories of pivotal importance in the DCU, and those two seemed to come up a lot in my online searching...

If you want to prepare for Infinite Crisis by reading pivotal DC trades, you should read Zero Hour, then Final Night, then Identity Crisis, then Green Lantern: Rebirth.

I seem to recall Zero Hour and Final Night not being that good though.

  3. Well, sure. Hal Jordan got resurrected, but he was dead at the time.

And yeah, normal people. What Inca said.

Did any other heroes die during Final Night? I can't remember. I'd think the rest of the JLA would be pretty pissed to have a negligent Superman on the team.

  4. Chris - i just presumed that was the same one from Final Night, only all grown up, since Morrison's Supes is most likely taking place at some unnamed point in the past...

If that was the case, wouldn't that inadvertently make Superman responsible for Final Night and the death of Hal Jordan?

I was under the impression that the Suneater from Final Night just wandered in from outer space somewhere.

  5. Isn't Superman a bit irresponsible keeping a baby sun eater though? After what happened with the last one? Hopefully once it gets too big he'll do the right thing and take it into the yard and shoot it.

  6. "Peters then told Smith to have Brainiac fight polar bears at the Fortress of Solitude, demanding that the film be wall-to-wall action. Smith thought it was a stupid idea, so Peters said, "Then have Brainiac fight Superman's bodyguards!" Smith responded, "Why the hell would Superman need bodyguards?" Peters wouldn't let up, so Smith caved in and had Brainiac fight the polar bears."

  7. Back to the whole, Robin in a Batman movie thing (even though the thread is about the Joker), I think I could handle Dick Grayson being in the movie, and being adopted by Bruce Wayne and maybe finding out he's Batman, so long as he doesn't actually become Robin.

I don't know. Maybe he could once he's 18, and has done his homework first.
